With the accelerated process of economic globalization, waste trade between countries have been intensified.Developed countries have been consciously exporting waste to other countries to release environment pressures and protect environment from harms brought by hazardous wastes.Naturally, developing countries as represented by China have become the “waste haven” for developed countries attempting to remove pollutants. As the main importer of waste, they have been overburdened with tremendous volume of imported waste. In last few years, with fast economic development and strengthened environment protection consciousness, governments issued more stringent environment protection regulations.Take china as an example, except from surprising growth rate of economy,it has also implemented various waste disposal and waste trade supervision regulations, which not only decreased waste production, but also improved the situation of waste trade. Therefore,it's reasonable to believe that the Kuznets Curve could also exist in waste trade of China with rapidly economic development.basing on data of waste trade and economy development in China, this paper is going to analyze the overall development trend of waste trade in last 16 years and influences of economic, political and social factors of waste trade at national and industry level respectively.Empirical results of national analysis found that economic development fasten the growth rate of waste import volume at first and decrease it after the turning point of GDP growth rate of 12%.Results of industrial level see the Kuznets Curve in trade of the chemicals and chemical waste, metal and metal wastes,non-metallic mineral wastes and rubber and plastic wastes, and the turning point lies on 30732,7781646,35667,31800 yuan of per capita GDP respectively.Among those sectors, the chemical waste, the non-metallic mineral wastes and rubber and plastic wastes have passed the turning point and locate at the descending side of inverted U shape curve, providing the primary evidence for Kuznets Curve of waste trade in China.Besides, through learning the stringency of environment regulations of different sectors and waste trade structure, the author also offered constructivesuggestion for implementation of relevant policies.
