The development of the open pit slope is a dynamic process,as the open mining scale increasing, the slope stability problem is more outstanding. In order to meet the market demand for coal, the production of Baiyinhua No.1 Open-pit Mine continued to expand.Expansion since 2011,in the process of drawing near to the east slope, the phenomenon of drumlin field appeared in the 2#coal roof, the drumlin field locate 50m?150m away from the slope feet, almost the same with the slope direction, once the slope loses instability,it will affect the safety of the staff and the equipment and cause disruption. In this thesis, clearing the engineering geological conditions and determining the internal friction angle of the weak layer of 2#coal seam roof and analyze the potential landslide model of Baiyinhua No.1 Open-pit Mine slope through field investigation and data collection, theoretical analysis, rigid body limit equilibrium and numerical simulation methods.Quantitative evaluating for the slope stability of current situation and the original design in the drumlin field through rigid body limit equilibrium software, studying the process of slope deformation instability and revealing the mechanism of landslide through FLAC3D numerical simulation software. The results indicate that 5?6 profile slope are steady; The steeper local slope below the tertiary stratum result in the local slope of 1?2 profile being not steady; The steeper slope angle of1?2 profile lead to 1?2 profile being not steady; To evaluate the stability of the original design slope due to 1-4 profile being not steady,The results show that the original design slope are not steady; The overall slope angle of the 1 profile is 22°and 2-4 profile are 24°after optimizing the slope form.
