3D geological modeling under multi-fault has been a hot spot in geoscience research.Because of the complexity of the fault and lack of the sampling data,it is hard to construct faults' geometrical form.And the accuracy of the coal seam model is affected.Affected by the interaction of multiple faults,the continuity of coal seam is greatly destroyed.If the model is constructed by traditional method,it will increase the complexity and difficulty of modeling.In order to improve the accuracy of modeling and reduce the complexity of modeling,studying the 3D geological modeling under multi-fault is necessary.Zhahanaoer open-pit mine faults have the characteristics of large number and shape differences.2D geological picture can not meet the requirements of complex faults and coal seam shape space.Based on the simple layered geological modeling technology,the process and method of 3D geological modeling have been studied.In order to improve the quality of modeling,the drilling database has been designed and created,the original profile data has been encrypted and converted by using D-P algorithm.The Morphing method is used to construct the transition curve between adjacent fault lines.Smooth transition of sparse fault line and reconstruction of smooth fault surface have been achieved.The finite element method is used to determine the location of the fault tip.The Lagrange interpolation method is used to extrapolate the fault line node curve and the cut of intersecting fault is achieved.In order to realize the integration of discontinuous coal model,CD-TIN as the surface modeling method is chosen and the Kriging interpolation method is adopted to solve the problem of seamless connection between coal seams and faults.The integration model of discontinuous coal seam solid model is realized by using the solidified technology.The methods of normal fault handling and reverse fault staggered processing are proposed.Integrated solid model in Zhahanaoer open-pit mine is built through the solid Boolean operation.The reliability of the 3D geological model is verified by the method of two-dimensional triangulation.And the 2017-2021 mining stripping project schedule is prepared.The research results enrich the theory and technology of 3D geological modeling,which is of great significance to the development of open-pit mines with similar faults.
