Molds play an important role in the national economy.And the rapid design and inspection of molds have become an urgent need in the mold industry.After analyzing the mold structure,this paper investigates the key technology of rapid design and inspection of the mold,and proposes the CAA-based CATIA secondary development method to complete the rapid design and inspection of the mold.Taking stamping mold as an example,a set of rapid mode design and inspection system are established which are based on CATIA software.At the same time,it also has a certain reference function for other types of molds.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)After analyzing the mold structure,the whole structure of the mold is divided into three parts in this paper: special component,general mold frame and standard parts.It is necessary to design these three parts separately.First of all,it is necessary to analyze the forming process of the product digital model to form the process digital model.The process digital model needs to be designed into a special component under the guidance of knowledge engineering.Secondly,under the support of the mold standard parts library with assembly characteristics,the general mold frame can be modularized to complete the automatic assembly work.The general mold frame can add basic information of the formwork after the design,and it can be stored in the general formwork library for subsequent design review.In addition,this paper also analyzes the key technologies of mold 2D engineering drawing design.(2)The key technologies for the rapid design of symmetric molds are summarized in this paper.The aided design methods mainly include searching constraints,finding constraint elements,modifying constraint elements,and updating constraints.(3)By combining actual needs,this paper summarizes the commonly used mold inspection content,including mold design normative inspection,mold geometric feature inspection and document consistency inspection.Through the study of these three parts,the main properties of the mold can be quickly inspected.(4)Taking the stamping mold as an example,the frame structure and architecture of the rapid design and inspection system of the mold were introduced,and the system development based on the key technologies of rapid design and inspection of the mold was completed.
