Farmers' Ecological Farming Behavior And Its Influencing Factors

The current contradiction between agricultural non-point source pollution and cultivated land protection is still sharp,and the improvement of farming behavior is one of the feasible ways to coordinate contradictions.Ecological farming refers to following the basic principles of ecosystems and avoiding the irreversible interference of man-made land systems,so as to improve the sustainable agricultural production behavior of farmland ecological environment.As the most basic decision-making body in rural areas,the ecological farming behavior of farmers is not only an objective requirement for implementing farmland protection and improving the productivity of cultivated land,but also a realistic need to ensure the quality and safety of agricultural products and national food security.Cognition is the forerunner of behavior,in-depth analysis of farmers' ecological farming cognition,and further analysis of the influencing factors affecting farmers' adoption of ecological farming behavior,and then propose countermeasures,which are important for improving the effectiveness of farmland protection,ensuring the quality and quality of agricultural products and national food security.Realistic meaning.Based on the micro-survey data of 1488 households in 47 counties(districts)of 11 cities in Jiangxi Province,the typical ecological farming behaviors in Jiangxi Province are summarized as soil testing and formula fertilization,planting green manure,applying organic fertilizer,reducing fertilizer application,and applying low-toxic and low-residue pesticides.Ten crops,crop rotation,straw returning,ecological agriculture model,agricultural film recycling and conservation tillage,based on the analysis of farmers' ecological farming cognition,using binary logistic model to empirically analyze the factors affecting farmers' adoption of ecological farming behavior Research and propose relevant policy recommendations for influencing factors.The results show that:(1)Sample farmers can recognize that ecological farming increases income and risk,and generally hopes to receive government support and long-term professional technical guidance.Media media is the main channel for sample farmers to obtain ecological farming information.The difficulty of information acquisition hinders the use and promotion of ecological farming behavior.(2)The adoption of ten specific behaviors of farmers' ecological farming is quite different,among which the application of organic fertilizer is the highest,and the adoption of ecological agriculture is the lowest.(3)The current level of adoption of ecological farming by farmers is not high,but the high proportion of high scores also reflects the potential for further promotion of ecological farming.(4)Among the internal factors,the explanatory variables such as the differentiation of farmers' livelihood,the proportion of family labor,the new business subject,the recognition of ecological farming income,and the recognition of laws and regulations have a significant positive effect on farmers' adoption of ecological farming behavior,and ecological environment awareness.Interpretative variables such as ecological farming cost cognition play a negative role;among external factors,explanatory variables such as cultivated land quality change,government subsidies,farmland infrastructure,and production exchange degree have a significant positive impact on farmers' adoption of ecological farming practices.Only the ecological farming information acquisition difficulty variable has a significant negative impact.Finally,several policy recommendations were put forward on how to guide farmers to adopt ecological farming behaviors:(1)promoting non-agricultural employment of farmers and promote moderately large-scale management of cultivated land;(2)vigorously cultivating new agricultural management entities;(3)strengthening the promotion and promotion of ecological farming and improving the cognitive level of farmers' ecological farming;(4)Improving the ecological farming policy support and control mechanism.
