In the flotation of zinc oxide ore,after desliming,conventional processes such as sulfide-amine method and sulfide-xanthate method are used for flotation.It is a great waste of zinc oxide resources due to the loss of a large number of useful minerals in the desliming stage.In this article,some practical problems existing in zinc oxide ore flotation are studied.The collection properties of three new collectors,Sodium lauryl fatty acid amide,2-ethylhexyl phosphate and dodecyl hydroxamic acid,were studied in order to solve the difficult problem of recovery of refractory zinc oxide ore in full-size for a long time.The collection effects of conventional oxic acid and new collector on pure minerals of smithsonite,calcite were studied.The results showed that sodium dodecyl fatty acid and 2-ethylhexyl phosphate had good effect on collecting smithsonite,while dodecyl hydroxamic acid had poor effect.The experiment of flotation conditions shows that sodium carbonate is better than sodium hydroxide in regulating pulp,sodium hexametaphosphate as inhibitor is favorable for separation of smithsonite and calcite,and sodium lauryl fatty acid amide has better performance at high temperature.The effect of low temperature was greatly weakened,and 2-ethylhexyl phosphate was less affected by temperature.The flotation effect of refractory zinc oxide ore is compared with that of pure mineral system.The results show that the flotation effect is consistent with that of pure mineral system.For the multi-bubble problem of sodium lauryl fatty acid amide at high temperature,a combined defoamer composed of "tributyl phosphate+dodecyl mercaptan+kerosene" in the proportion of "20:5:1" for foam equilibrium height and semi-decay was adopted.Control to achieve the purpose of controlling the foam.Finally,the zinc concentrate with grade 28.62%,recovery 75.75%,grade 26.30%and recovery 67.10%can be obtained by closed circuit test of two collectors.The adsorption geometry of commonly used oxygen-containing acid on the surface of ZnCO3 was compared with the model of two new agents.2-ethylhexyl phosphate was adsorbed on the ZnCO3 surface by ester group on P=O and two P-O bonds on the three oxygen adsorption on different zinc atomic to produce a better adsorption.sodium lauryl fatty acid amide strongly adsorbed on the surface of ZnCO3 by carboxyl group on C=O and C-O on the two oxygen adsorption on different zinc atomic,which results in a large deformation on the surface of ZnCO3.After hydration of oxic acid on the surface of ZnCO3,it is found that hydration has a great effect on the adsorption of oxic acid on the surface of ZnCO3.The optimum adsorption distance between oxygen atom and zinc atom on C-O was obtained by geometry analysis of hydration ZnCO3 surface of sodium lauryl fatty acid amide,which is the most effective collector.The optimum adsorption distance between oxygen atom and zinc atom on C-O is 1.899A,and the 2-ethylhexyl phosphate adsorption distance of P=O is 1.950(?).
