With increasing depletion of the zinc sulfide mineral resources, people will be more and more concerned with zinc oxide, which is an important kind of zinc mineral resources. Zinc oxide mineral resources, especially refractory low-grade zinc oxide, contain a variety of minerals, often associate with variety of other oxide minerals, with finer grain size distribution, include high clay content, often contain iron minerals and high content of soluble salt, which result in more complex beneficiation process and low recovery of minerals. The recovery of zinc oxide is generally60%-70%, a large amount of flotation reagents are consumed in traditional sulfide flotation process when the recovery of zinc need to deslime mud, which would lose more zinc metal in mud. Therefore, it will be great practical significance to improve the beneficiation indicators of zinc oxide ore, particularly in efficiently recycle of micro-fine zinc oxide by the development of new technology and process.In this paper, spectral analysis and chemical analysis were made for the zinc oxide ore. In view of large amount of iron and fine slime in zinc oxide, exploratory tests and flotation tests were taken, with good final flotation index, this provides experimental basis for the effective recovery of zinc mine.Study of ore property has shown that, zinc grade of the sample is2.76%, there is large amount of silicon, calcium and magnesium, but little sulfur and arsenic. The sample is a high-grade iron, low-grade zinc oxide ore.Exploring test has shown that, strong magnetic separator cannot achieve the purpose of throwing the tail, but it can make flotation of zinc get better, illustrating that strong magnetic separation has reduced the effect of high iron on the flotation difficulty; the finely ground and re-election test results show that finely ground magnetic cannot obviously reduce the zinc grade of magnetic concentrate; the result of desliming flotation shows that it can significantly improve flotation index of zinc oxide, but it also makes the purpose mineral zinc a larger loss; the result of full grain flotation without desliming and magnetic separation shows that it can achieve the recovery of zinc, and it is feasible.Closed-circuit test bases on the grinding fineness of95.1%-200mesh, best reagent regime, using full grain flotation without desliming and magnetic separation, strengthening reagent regime in the flotation process, dispersing sludge, strengthening iron suppression, after grinding and a rough election, the second sweep election and the secondary selection, zinc oxide concentrate is obtained. The final index of closed-circuit test is:zinc oxide concentrate grade31.26%, recovery66.41%. It illustrates that using full grain flotation, meanwhile, strengthening reagent regime in the flotati-on process, effective recovery of zinc will be achieved.
