The erosion of blast furnace hearth is closely related to the flow state of iron in the hearth. The flow scouring of iron is one of the important reasons for the increase of shear stress in the hearth sidewall, the rise of temperature in the hearth sidewall and the hearth of the service life of blast furnace. The subject is based on the theory of fluid mechanics and simulated by FLUENT software.Under the conditions of different floating height of dead-man,different porosity and different flow rate of outlet, the flow law of iron in hearth and the distribution of shear stress in hearth bottom and hearth side wall are calculated. The conclusions are as follows:1)The flow of iron from the inlet plane to the outlet does not follow the shortest straight path, but has a certain path to the outlet entrance.2)The main reason for the circulation of iron is the bottom of the dead-man sinking hearth.Increasing the floating height of the dead-man can reduce the circulation of iron and make the distribution of iron more uniform at the bottom of the hearth.3)When the floating height of the dead-man increases in a certain range, the shear stress in the hearth center increases correspondingly, but when the floating height of the dead-man exceeds a certain range, the shear stress in the hearth center decreases. The bottom edge shear stress decreases with the rise of dead-man.4)When the porosity of the dead-man increases, which will reduce the flow of iron in the dead-man,and increase the flow of iron in the coke-free space and crevice. The change of the porosity of the dead-man has very limited influence on the erosion of the hearth sidewall on the face of the outlet, but has no effect on the erosion of the iron on the hearth sidewall on the side of the outlet.5)The increase of outlet flow rate has little effect on the flow state of hearth iron. The velocity of iron in gap and coke-free space increases. The shear stress of hearth bottom and hearth sidewall increases gradually, and the erosion is aggravated.Figure 57;Table 6;Reference 52...
