As an important part of the operation and management of manufacturing enterprises,production performance management not only directly reflects the operation effects,but also takes the responsibility of realizing the strategic goals of the enterprise,ensuring the normal and efficient operation of the enterprise,improving the performance of the organization and creating values for the enterprise together with other management units.Judging from the current situation and learning from my own working experiences,enterprise performance management in our country is uneven.Some are just of simple assessment rather than systematic management and others have set up performance management systems but no executive force,merely resulting in a formality and failure,which has neither promoted the organizational performance to achieve the enterprise's expected goals,nor has achieved the win-win situation between enterprises and all the employees,totally failing to promote the strategic development of the enterprise.Main reasons probed as follows: First,many companies consider performance assessment the same as performance management and neglect the fact that performance assessment is only a part of performance management and isolate it from other links in the implementation,finally depriving performance assessment of its effectiveness.Second,the performance management system is not designed from the strategic level and assessment is only used as an evaluation tool for staff rewards and punishment.Third,even if there exists so-called performance management,too much management waste in the operation of the management process prevents the promotion of organizational performance at any level.Based on theoretical study and combined with the current situation and existing problems of company performance management,this paper expounds the implementation strategy to build a performance management system in the mind of Lean Thinking in the manufacturing department of H company on the base of the current documents and achievements on performance management and Lean Thinking in China and abroad.Guided by the company performance management model based on Lean Thinking,following the process of performance management and probing the problems through in-depth investigations,this paper puts forward the proposals on the improvement of performance management and validates preliminary trials and evaluations to improve the efficiency of company operation and further raise the company's whole benefits by using the current related mature theories and science research methods.
