With the improvement of living standards,the home appliance industry is developing rapidly,and the demand for corresponding sheet metal parts is increasing.The formed sheet metal parts studied in this paper are mainly from the home appliance industry.At present,CAD mold technology has been widely used in sheet metal mold design,but there are still many problems in the design process cumbersome,repeated operations,poor correlation of design results,high editing difficulty,etc.In this paper,based on the actual production needs of the enterprise,a set of automatic forming system for forming parts of sheet metal parts is designed,and the result of the process generation is used to drive the automatic design of the stamping die of sheet metal parts,which ensures the quality of the mold and greatly simplifies.The modeling process improves the design efficiency of the sheet metal mold and shortens the production cycle of the product.The paper analyzes in detail the position of the sheet metal process generation in the whole stamping die design,and uses the object-oriented design idea to develop a complete system on the NX platform to automatically generate the process.The system can be divided into the following four modules: model pre-processing,primitive node generation,process creation,and process release.The so-called primitive node refers to a type of forming feature.The system mainly generates the forming process by computer program by assigning the pixel node and specifying the corresponding forming process under the process.In this paper,an in-depth study on the development of the bending characteristics of household sheet metal parts is carried out.Dividing the bend into two different ways according to whether the bend line is a straight line.For the special-shaped bending in which the bending line is a curve,discrete,reverse,fitting,smoothing and other steps are taken to expand,which can meet the requirements of the actual production process.Each forming process does not exist independently,and there is a dependency relationship between them.Therefore,in the system,the feature modeling is not eliminated,and the generated processes are related to each other,so that the operator can modify the editing.In the process of creating the process,the element node grouping technology is introduced,and the features corresponding to the shaped elements in the navigation tree are named and managed by the feature group,so that the modeler can perform subsequent operations.Finally,this paper takes a model of the door body sheet metal structure as input,introduces the operation flow of the system in detail,and automatically creates the forming process,which verifies the system with ease of use and efficiency.
