With the acceleration of urbanization and motorization,the rapid growth of residents' travel demand and the significant increase of average travel distance,the traffic environment in China is facing profound changes.At the same time,the challenge of how to solve traffic-safety-related problems is becoming increasingly severe.The emergence and improvement of intelligent transportation system(ITS)have provided a new method to improve traffic safety condition under the limited resources.However,in the area of traffic safety,ITS is basically used for providing real-time traffic monitoring.It is necessary to conduct a research on mining the time-changing pattern of traffic safety risk factors based on big data collected by ITS,and on providing guidance for forward-looking and specific job.In order to provide a feasible method of traffic safety risk control and management through managing over-speed behaviors,a series of studies has been carried out basing on traffic violation records collected by monitoring equipment.First of all,on the basis of analyzing the composition of traffic system,the developing mechanism of traffic safety risk and the background factors of traffic violations,the target of data collection and pretreatment method were defined,and after clarifying that the main research objective was the speeding behavior,the influence of multi-source factors on speeding behavior was analyzed.Secondly,a prediction model of time series of speeding event was constructed by using wavelet neural network(WNN)to predict the speeding event during a specific time bucket and to realize the warning of high frequency periods.Thirdly,based on ArcGIS software,the time cube of speeding records was constructed to mining the special pattern and to realize “black spots”.Fourthly,a traffic safety management method through realizing and controlling speeding behaviors was carried out.The classification standard of speeding-peak time threshold and calculating method of risk probability of speeding behavior were provided,and measures of traffic safety risk control were summarized.Last but not least,whether those methods constructed in this paper are applicable towards other traffic violation such as light violation is answered.
