Ink-jet printing accumulates ink dots on the surface in a certain,which is a noncontact,fast and convenient way of digital image printing.With advances in technology,ink-jet printing is no only confined to text printing and marking,but also gradually extended to industrial applications.It has attracted wide attention because of its good application prospects in the frontier research fields.The quality of printed product is important for the printing technology application.For ink-jet printing,the most fundamental part is the quality of droplet forming.In order to achieve higher printing quality and efficiency,it is necessary to precisely control the droplet forming process,to ensure the quality of drops forming.The droplet forming process involving contact and collision between multi-phases,the presence of fluid change is complex.In order to research the droplet forming process,the numerical simulation with the experimental analysis research methods were adopted in this paper.The influence of three control parameters was analyzed.And then,the ink-jet printing process was studied to provide reference and basis for improving the quality of printed products.Finally,an UHF antenna was printed on flexible substrate and proved to be available.The main works of this paper is as follows:(1)The research status of inkjet printing application,droplet forming process and printing process was analyzed by referring to literatures related to this research topic,and the research method of droplet forming process control combined with numerical simulation and experimental verification was put forward in this paper.(2)The physical model of droplet ink-jetting system was analyzed.Based on the numerical modeling method,a fluid simulation model was established to study droplet beam formation,broken,flight and spreading in the surface of the substrate.The change of boundary conditions and fluid physical quantities was considered to make effect on the droplet forming process.The numerical simulation results was analyzed,and the control parameter combination of high quality droplet forming was summarized.(3)By means of droplet ejection and observation system,the influence of different control parameters was analyzed by experimental method,and the results were compared with obtained by numerical simulation to verify the reliability of the numerical simulation model.The combination of control parameters obtained by numerical simulation was used to select appropriate fluid,and the quality of droplet forming was analyzed by the results observed.(4)The process of ink-jet Pre-press and post-press was analyzed,and the process was optimized to improve the quality of printing products.An UHF antenna was designed and printed on flexible PET film,and the performance of antenna was tested by the vector network analyzer.It is proved that the quality of printed products can be improved by improving the quality of droplet forming and optimizing the technological process.The research shows that the method of numerical simulation combined with experimental analysis proposed in this paper is highly feasible.It has good applicability to the study of the problem of forming ink droplets and ink droplets in contact with solid substrate.The result obtained have a certain guiding significance for the practical application of inkjet printing technology in flexible printing.
