Marine equipment is vulnerable to corrosion and fouling problems.Hence,it is important to improve the performance of anticorrosion and antifouling for the longevity use of marine equipment.However.most of existing antifouling materials are toxic and easy to imbalance the marine environment.AgO and its composites are potential materials for enhancing the mechanical and anticorrosion properties of anticorrosion epoxy resins,which have strong bactericidal ability and low toxicity to mammals.It can also make epoxy resins have bactericidal ability.Therefore,AgO and AgO/zeolite compound can used as fillers to prepare Ag-based compound/epoxy resin anticorrosion and antifouling composites to solve the corrosion and fouling problems.Their structure are characterized by SEM,FTIR and mercury intrusion tester.And their antimicrobial,anticorrosion and mechanical properties are characterized by universal testing machine,electrochemical,workstation and impregnation culture method.The results show that the mechanical properties,corrosion resistance and antibacterial properties of epoxy resin matrix are improved with the AgO size is 0.61-9.43?m,the median diameter is 3.34?m,or the AgO/zeolite compound size is 0.18-25.23?m,and the median diameter is 4.52?m.When the addition quantity is 0.5-2.0wt%,With the increase of AgO content,the wear resistance,tensile strength,flexural strength and corrosion resistance of the composites first increase and then decrease.The wear rate is lowest when AgO content is 1.5wt%,which is 26.50%lower than that of epoxy resin.When AgO content is 1.0wt%,its tensile strength and flexural strength are the highest,which are 72.67%and 22.64%higher than epoxy resin respectively.Its corrosion resistance is the highest,and the corrosion rate is about 6/1000 of epoxy resin.The AgO/zeolite compound reach the best performance when AgO content is 1.5wt%.With the increase of AgO and AgO/zeolite compound,the antibacterial properties of anticorrosion and antifouling composites are enhancedAgO and AgO/zeolite compound can enhance the epoxy resin's mechanical properties and corrosion resistance,make the epoxy resin with better antimicrobial properties.Between them,AgO is better than AgO/zeolite compound.Therefore,AgO-added antimicrobial can be used to protect the marine equipment.
