Due to the excellent breathability,moisture permeability,cotton fabrics are favored by consumers in the summer.Since the lightweight fabrics cannot prevent mosquito biting and bloodsucking during the summer season when mosquitoes burst.Therefore,it is important to implement anti-mosquito finishing on cotton fabrics.As one of the commonly used insecticides,permethrin has strong contact and stomach toxicity to mosquitoes,but it has relatively low toxicity and irritation to higher animals.Permethrin has no carcinogenic effect on humans.Moreover,permethrin has good stability and does not decompose at room temperature.At the same time,the production cost of permethrin is relatively low.Therefore,the study of permethrin on the repellent finishing of cotton fabrics has high practical value.In this thesis,the anti-mosquito agent was prepared under room temperature conditions which used the original drug of permethrin,emulsifier 2#,propylene glycol,diethylene glycol monobutyl ether and other reagents as reaction materials.Then,the permethrin anti-mosquito agent was prepared into a permethrin emulsion.The appearance,dispersibility,centrifugation stability,refrigeration stability and emulsion particle size of the permethrin emulsion were observed and measured.The type of emulsifier,and the amount of emulsifier,solvent and antifreeze,etc.were explored.The optimum emulsification process was obtained.The amount of permethrin was 1.2%,The amount of emulsifier 2# was 2%.The amount of diethylene glycol monobutyl ether was 0.5%,and the amount of propylene glycol was 1.5%.The anti-mosquito reagent prepared under optimized process conditions was named as permethrin anti-mosquito reagent DH-1.In order to obtain a durable mosquito repellent effect on cotton fabrics,this study investigated the durability of permethrin on cotton fabrics,including the establishment of test methods for the content of permethrin on mosquito repellent fabrics and the exploration of mosquito repellent finishing process.The retention of permethrin on mosquito repellent fabrics after 50 washes was measured by discussing the type and amount of binder,the time and temperature of baking,the type and amount of softener.The optimum conditions were obtained by conducting experiments.The amount of the permethrin reagent DH-1 was 52 g/L.The type of the binder was DM-5129.The amount of the binder was 75 g/L.The type of the softener was T606.The amount of softener was 75 g/L.The baking time was 80 seconds and the baking temperature was 135°C.The anti-mosquito finishing process is optimized for finishing cotton fabrics,and the retention rate of permethrin on mosquito repellent fabrics is up to 82% after 50 washes.After the sample was tested,the mosquito repellent rate of the unwashed mosquito-repellent fabric was 72.41%,and the mosquito-repellent grade was A,which indicated that the mosquito repellent fabric had a strong mosquito repellent effect.The mosquito repellent rate of the mosquito-repellent fabric after 50 washes was 55.17%,and the mosquito-repellent grade was B,which still had a good mosquito repellent effect.The results showed that the prepared mosquito repellent fabric had good mosquito repellent effect and excellent durability.
