Because of the different mining areas,different geological conditions and complex structure of the coal mine itself,it is difficult to mine the coal mine with high complexity and easy to cause geological hazards,resulting in greater casualties.In view of the bad working conditions,blurred real-time monitoring pictures,high cost of field teaching and training,and poor effect of underground fully mechanized mining face,this paper proposes a method of panoramic modeling design and fault rendering based on virtual reality(VR)technology for fully mechanized mining face.Using virtual reality scene simulation technology,we can realize panoramic modeling design,simulate the occurrence of accidents,realize the functions of human roaming,equipment operation teaching,etc.The purpose is to improve the problems of real-time monitoring in the well,high maintenance cost in the underground,low efficiency of safety training for miners,and improve the level of mine safety management.The main research work is as follows:Based on the theory of panoramic modeling,this paper proposes a solution to complete panoramic modeling design by using UG,RHINO,and 3DSMAX,which have different modeling ideas and complementary advantages of modeling software.Firstly,UG is used to model and assemble fully mechanized mining equipment,and RHINO is used to optimize and simplify the model in order to prepare for the introduction of virtual reality platform.Then,3D SMAX is used to carry out character modeling and scene roadway modeling,and to show the running environment of equipment.Finally,the unified format of the model is imported into Unity-3D to make character skeleton,further adjust the animation,build roadway scene,layout of mining equipment,simulation mapping of various equipment,and complete the panoramic modeling design.Based on the theory of fault rendering,the functions of automatic path finding,user roaming,equipment introduction and accident triggering are accomplished by using C# background language programming.The elements needed in various systems,such as flame,falling coal,smoke and water,are produced by using Unity-3D particle system to show the fault of underground accident equipment and complete the design of underground fault rendering.Based on the interaction theory in service design,after debugging various preparatory programs,the GUI design optimization system makes users more controllable,designs and completes the GUI system path design of the whole system,and produces functional user interfaces,completes the import and entrusting functions,finally accesses the real-time working surface data,and completes the interactive design of NGUI system.Fourthly,on the basis of the above research,based on the testing theory ofsoftware development,the panoramic modeling and fault rendering system of fully mechanized mining face is established,accessed to the SQL database,debugged various functions,solved the existing problems in the actual production,made hardware access,optimization,release and test on the WEB and PC terminals of the system,debugged the operation of the system in different operating environments.Ensure smooth operation of the system by browsing and other issues.Finally,the system can simulate the first and third person scene roaming in the teaching scene of fully mechanized mining face,and make a decision on the current problems.The corresponding problems can be vividly rendered in the3 D virtual monitoring scene in real time,including underground floods,underground fires,roof disasters,equipment failure prompts and so on.Complete the establishment of panoramic modeling and fault rendering system of fully mechanized mining face.Experience shows that the system improves the visual perception level of the virtual reality of fully mechanized mining,and provides a clear,visual and early warning monitoring screen for future monitoring,maintenance and training of miners.
