Steel wire is widely used in light industry,construction and manufacturing,such as the production of springs,winding wire ropes,bicycles and motorcycle spokes,welded metal skeletons,woven wire mesh,piano wire making,tires and so on.Steel wire may appear a certain degree of bending and distortion deformation in the production process due to the force of uneven heating,or transport stacking and other reasons.At the same time,the finished steel wire is generally delivered in the form of a disk,in some cases,the wire needs to be straightened to achieve a certain degree of straightness before the wire is used,such as making car spokes,springs,weaving mesh and other use of steel wire.The steel wire needs to achieve a certain degree of straightness to meet the requirements of use.This paper mainly studies the relationship between the straightening process parameters of steel wire straightening and the straightness of steel wire.In this paper,based on the parallel roller wire roller straightening device,a new type of steel wire bending straightening device with the staggered and downward pressure of the size roller is designed,and the calculation formulas of the process parameters such as roll diameter,lower pressure quantity,roll distance and tension are deduced.Then the steel wire bending straightening machine is discussed,and the formula for calculating the neutral layer offset of plastic deformation on both sides of the steel wire is deduced.Then the orthogonal test is established,and the steel wire with 1mm diameter is taken as the straightening target,and the dynamic finite element simulation is made by using Abaqus to the straightening process of steel wire bending and the simulation results are visualized.According to the stress distribution diagram,the neutral layer migration theory in the process of bending straightening is verified,and the successful application of tension is verified according to the velocity comparison graph.In this paper,the straightness,section roundness and residual stress are taken as evaluation criteria to evaluate the straightening quality of steel wire.According to the results of orthogonal test,the influence of several key process parameters such as roll diameter,tension and wrap angle on the evaluation criteria is summarized,and the optimal parameter combination is obtained.The matching relationship between the diameter of the steel wire and the straightening roller,the matching relationship between the straightening roller and the bending radius of the steel wire and the straightening effect of the single-direction straightening roller on the multi-directional bending are further studied.
