This paper expounds the necessity of natural gas dehydration and its dehydration process,and focuses on the design and implementation of PLC automatic control system for dehydration station.At present,there are some problems in the market,such as imperfect technology,low operation efficiency,weak processing capacity and low automation,PLC control system is obsolete,or difficulties in maintenance and parts replacement for the obsoleted PLC control system.In view of these problems,the paper compares and analyses the three dehydration processes,selected the appropriate dehydration process according to the practical engineering characteristics of the paper.This paper determines the design scheme according to the design principle and requirement of control system based on Triethylene Glycol Dehydration process.Considering the safety and cost performance,it adopts PLC soft redundancy control system and develops a more complex control function with natural gas metering and PID control.It realizes the PLC control system of dehydration station with high automation,low development cost and stable production.Host computer monitoring system with a friendly interface and easy operation.Practical engineering application proves that the control system developed has stable operation,fast and accurate PID response,accurate natural gas measurement,reliable interlocking protection,friendly operation interface and convenience,processing efficiency and good dehydration effect,achieves the expected effect of automatic dehydration control.It is very suitable for small and medium-sized triglycol dehydration stations.
