In recent years,light-steel house has been getting more attention in rural regions,as house builders are abstracted by the labels such as“low-carbon”,“quickly built”and“good appearance”,while the government also look it as an important solution to the construction of low-carbon,green township and the new countryside.But at the same time,there are still some deficiencies on the questions of carbon abatement in existing researches,which hinder the cognition and use by the government and house builders,influencing the rapid popularization of light-steel rural house to a certain extent.This thesis deeply studied questions focusing carbon abatement effect and carbon abatement cost of light-steel construction techonology using in rural houses,in order to provide more effective references for the government and house builders,helping the efficiently construction of China's low-carbon society.Firstly,through the method of literature research,relevant theories and status were sorted out,which formed the basis for establishing the calculation model.Secondly,representative models of traditional rural houses and a light-steel rural house were established.The carbon abatement effect of a single house was calculated using life cycle assessment method,relying on tools of Glodon,DEST and eFootprint,with the analysis of the results'uncertainty and the differences with existing studies.Then,combined with the results above,the carbon abatement potential of the overall society under different promotion scenarios was calculated.Finally,combined with the life-cycle cost under the same caliber,the carbon abatement cost of light-steel rural house was calculated,explanating the economic price for achieving the carbon abatement effect above.The results show that:?1?Light-steel rural house can achieve 1734%,1129%and-123%of the life cycle carbon abatement compared with steel-concrete,brick-concrete and brick-timber rural houses,respectively.?2?The emission reduction potential of light-steel rural house is related to the speed of popularization.The faster the popularization rate is,the greater the emission reduction potential will be.Under the conditions of full popularization in 2030,2040 and 2050,light-steel rural house can contribute 11.7 billion tons,13.6 billion tons and 15.6 billion tons of carbon abatement respectively,the emission reduction rate is 20%,18%and 15%.?3?The carbon abatement costs of light-steel rural house are 0.21 yuan/kg CO2 eq,0.64 yuan/kg CO2 eq and 1.05 yuan/kg CO2 eq.Under the existing rural housing structure in China,the marginal abatement cost of using light-steel rural house is 0.24 yuan/kg CO2 eq.
