Harmful algal blooms(HABs)are a type of common ocean disaster in coastal sea of China,which not only threatens the marine ecological environment,but also have an impact on the marine economy of our country.Remote sensing technology has the characteristics of wide observation range and long duration.it is of great significance for the prevention and control of HABs to monitor the HABs by remote sensing technology and publish the HABs identification information to the Internet combined with WebGIS.In this paper,a HABs remote sensing monitoring system based on WebGIS is designed and implemented with the help of Java EE and SuperMap.Reflectance parameters could be extracted from MODIS imagery automatically,and the suspected HABs areas could be identified along with the causative type by a published HABs detection algorithm.The system can provide users with remote GIS and ship survey information management services.The research contents and results of this paper are as follows.(1)The related technology of server development is analyzed and the WebGIS platform is determined.Through the research of Java Web development technology,this paper analyzes the main technical framework and its function needed by server development.According to the characteristics of different WebGIS platforms,the iServer product of SuperMap is selected as the WebGIS platform of this study.(2)The design and implementation of the system.According to the requirements of the system,the function is divided into four modules: map control,spatial analysis,HABs information and auxiliary information.The architecture of WebGIS system is studied,and each part of the system is designed in detail,including Web server,GIS server,database and system pages.Finally,the function of the system is realized according to the design,and a complete WebGIS system is built.(3)The application and verification of the system.The MODIS remote sensing data of the high incidence period of HABs in recent 10 years(2008-2017)are processed by the system,and the results are integrated into the map of HABs distribution in the coastal sea of Zhejiang Province.the map is in good agreement with the statistical results of the relevant monitoring departments over the years.According to the records of HABs events in China Marine disaster Bulletin in recent 10 years,the recognition rate of HABs in this system is 90%.
