The iron-steel industry is a high energy consumption and high emission industry.It is a major intensive area for greenhouse gas?GHG?emission and is one of the important sectors of energy conservation and emission reduction in China.Based on the research about the iron and steel industry in China and other contries in the world,combining the development of energy saving and emission reduction with the current situation of carbon emissions of the iron-steel industry,the existing problems in the development process,the research for 8 iron-steel production enterprises has been made in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.Based on quantitative analysis,it is analyzed the potential of energy saving and emission reduction of steel production enterprises by means of qualitative,and it can be used to provide references for the development of energy conservation and emission reduction in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.The Measuring,Reporting and Verificating?MRV?data researches are also made for one of iron-steel enterprises during the year of 2013 to 2015.The boundary and emission source,energy consumption and greenhouse gas emission of four steel rolling processing enterprises are investigated.In the four research enterprises,the lowest level of the CO2 emission of unit production is A Company,which was 9.76%lower than the enterprise of B,18.45%lower than that of C,and 21.52%lower than the enterprise of D.In the case of adopting similar hot rolling production process,CO2 emissions of A enterprise by using natural gas as fuel was much lower than that of the other 3 companies by using coal as fuel,it shows that with natural gas as raw material of the heating furnace has better environmental benefit.The emission boundaries and emission sources,energy consumption and production and greenhouse gas emission are studied in this paper for the research object of the E company of sub-long process steel joint enterprise and F and G companies of long process enterprise.Because of the market influence,E enterprise increases CO2 emissions per unit of output per year due to the continued low price of steel.Also affected by the market supply and demand factors,the actual crude steel output of F enterprises is far from the design capacity.During2013 to 2015,the output value of G enterprises decreased year by year,in the case of small fluctuations in crude steel and steel output.The greenhouse gas emission intensity of G enterprises was always lower than that of F enterprises in the same period.This was because in recent years,G enterprises have implemented a large number of energy saving and emission reduction measures,such as power generation by using waste heat and waste energy and strategies of energy saving and energy conservation,which had greatly improved the proportion of captive power in the enterprise.Based on“the GHG emission and certification method and guidline in iron-steel production enterprices in China”,the main process,operation boundary,organization boundary and emission source recognition of steel joint enterprise H is investigated.During the period from 2013 to 2015,the greenhouse gas emissions from various processes of H enterprises declined.In addition to the coking process,the decline level of other processes was reched from 30%to 50%,while the reduction of coking process was not so large.During the period from 2013 to 2015,the total energy consumption of each process decreased,and the amount of energy consumed by the coking process was relatively small.In addition to the sintering process,the other processes basically meet the advanced value of energy consumption limit of the main process unit of Hebei iron and steel enterprises.In 2013,for example,the H enterprise's greenhouse gas emissions intensity has a gap of 17.85%as compared with Nippon Steel Corporation,compared with the sustainable development of the world steel association announced indicators,the gap was 28.33%.Through the contrast analysis,the H company has a larger space to reduce emissions.
