Traditional Q235B steel roller is difficult to meet the production demand of coal mine due to its disadvantages such as large weight and short life.In view of its shortcomings,reducing its weight and prolonging its service life are of great practical significance for improving the production efficiency of coal mines and reducing the production cost of enterprises.Firstly,this paper analyzes the research background and development status of idlers,analyzes the parameters and structure of idlers,and then makes the following research on 159 x530mm steel idlers:(1)Modeling and finite element analysis were carried out on the roller rotating parts with the software,and it was found that there was no stress concentration problem in the roller rotating parts,the maximum deformation position was the center of the pipe body,and the deformation was about 0.0685mm inward,with an optimization space of about 50%allowable error from the maximum deformation.The analysis results and the simplified model of simply supported beam prove that the simple weight reduction cannot meet the strength requirements of idlers.An improved scheme was proposed to reduce the tube wall by 1mm,the bearing seat width by 0.5mm,and weld a 10mm×5mm ring on the inner wall of the tube body center.Through finite element analysis,it is proved that this scheme can effectively reduce the weight of the idler by more than 15%,the maximum deformation is only about 0.0756mm(within the safe range),and effectively reduce the surface stress of the pipe body.(2)Through modeling and finite element analysis,it is found that the maximum deformation position of both step and cold-drawn roller is the middle section of the shaft,and the maximum deformation variable of cold-drawn roller is 0.051mm,and the maximum deformation variable of step roller is 0.038mm,both of which are far less than the allowable deformation.It is found that the use of cold drawn roller under the same conditions can reduce the weight of the roller and reduce the production cost.However,the excessive stress occurred at the included Angle of the milling plane at both ends of the shaft,and the stress value at the included Angle of the milling plane of the cold-drawn roller reached 249.67Mpa,exceeding the yield limit of Q235B material 235MPa.To solve this problem,this paper adopts guide fillet process design to disperse local stress and uses Q355 material with larger yield limit.(3)In order to improve the bearing life,this paper has designed a new labyrinth sealing structure,which first increases the depth of the storage grease.In addition,chamfering the sealing tooth tip avoids friction heat generated by collision of sealing structure.Relevant accessories are designed to form a secondary chamber with the new labyrinth sealing structure to reduce the overflow and dispersion of grease.
