C5 petroleum resin,as a by-product of ethylene cracking process with a molecular weight of 300?3000,is a functional resin with good anti-coagulating and.viscosity-increasing properties.It is mainly used in adhesives,coatings,rubber,ink,paper,and other fields.However,the high colority and poor stability of the resin limits its application range due to the existing of a large number of unsaturated double bonds and chromophoric groups.In order to improve the quality of C5 petroleum resin,catalytic hydrogenation of C5 petroleum resin is usually employed.The thesis mainly involves the preparation,formation,characterization,activity and stability evaluation of C5 petroleum resin hydrogenation catalysts.The effects of hydrogenation process conditions on the C5 petroleum resin hydrogenation over formed Pd catalysts were also investigated.The hydrogenation performance of Ni/TiO2-?-Al2O3 catalysts were studied.The results showed that compared to support of TiO2 or ?-Al2O3,catalyst with support of TiO2-?-Al2O3 showed higher hydrogenation activity for C5 petroleum resin.The optimum preparation conditions of Ni/TiO2-?-Al2O3 catalyst were as follows:impregnation solvent,anhydrous ethanol;mass ratio of titanium to aluminum,3:7;Ni loading,20wt%;Pd doping amount,0.5wt%;carrier calcination temperature and time,550? for 4h;catalyst calcination and reduction,calcined at 550? for 4h and reduced at 500? for 3h.After run of theoptimized NiPd/TiO2-?-Al2O3 catalyst for 600 hours,the hydrogenation rate of C5 petroleum resin hydrogenation still retained as high as 98.85%.The molding conditions of NiPd/TiO2-?-Al2O3 catalyst were studied.The results showed that the mechanical strength of the catalyst was 231N/cm when the concentration of HN03 was 6wt%,the ratio of water to powder was 1mL/g,and the amount of SB powder was 20wt%.The activity of the formed NiPd/TiO2-?-Al2O3 catalyst was evaluated.It was found that the hydrogenation effect of the NiPd/TiO2-?-Al2O3 catalyst was slightly reduced,with the product bromine value of 0.8gBr/100g and the hydrogenation rate of 98.56%.The hydrogenation performance of Ni/ZrO2-?-Al2O3 catalyst was reviewed.The results showed that ZrO2-?-Al2O3 composite suppored Nickel catalyst showed higher hydrogenation activity for C5 petroleum resin than ZrO2 or ?-Al2O3 supported Nickel catalyst.When the Zirconium aluminum mass ratio was 3:7,the loading of Ni was 20wt%,the carrier was calcined at 600? for 4h,the calcination temperature of the catalyst was 550? for 4h,and the reduction was conducted at 550? for 3h,the obtained Ni/ZrO2-?-Al2O3 catalyst exhibited the highest hydrogenation performance.The hydrogenation process conditions of Pd catalysts were investigated.The results showed that the suitable hydrogenation conditions for C5 petroleum resin were reaction temperature of 250??270?,reaction pressure of 12MPa?14MPa,space velocity of 0.6 h-1?0.8 h-1 and the hydrogen to oil ratio of 80?100;The solvent in the resin solution was removed in 2mmHg vacuum distillation system,and a suitable final distillation top temperature was 140±2 ?.
