Tire is the only medium connecting the car body and the road surface.In the process of driving,the friction characteristics between the tread and the road surface not only affect the performance of the tire,but also affect the driving safety,handling and stability of the car body.At present,the R & D and testing of tires by domestic and foreign manufacturers mostly focus on their own rubber material parameters,tire structure and so on.The influence of environment,road and other factors on the tire is ignored.There is an abnormal situation in the environmental road surface,the foreign body on the road will affect the driving and safety of the vehicle,such as the foreign body punctures the tire,and some small foreign bodies on the road will be embedded in the tire pattern groove and move with the wheel.The foreign body embedded in the pattern groove on the road surface not only affects the grounding characteristics of the tread,but also causes the reduction of adhesion,abnormal wear and so on.According to the influence of foreign body embedded in tread groove on tire under different working conditions,it has very important practical significance.Because the characteristics of foreign bodies on the road are complex and irregular,the finite element method,which is commonly used to solve complex engineering problems,is selected to study.In order to accurately describe the foreign body embedded in the tread groove,the finite element model of model 205 / 55R16 tire is established,and the rubber material of each part of the tread is tested and identified.In the process of modeling,the groove size of the pattern is measured in detail with reference to the size of the solid tire,three types of pattern tire are established,and the accuracy of the pattern tire model is verified.The stiffness test and grounding pressure distribution test are carried out on the tire static bench,and the error of the result is less than 5%,which proves the validity of the tire finite element model.The tire ground imprinting test was carried out by using Japanese Fuji pressure sensitive paper from both radial and lateral aspects,and the effectiveness of the finite element model was further verified by comparing the imprinting length and width of the finite element model under the same working conditions.Five geometric characteristic indexes of grounding pressure and three mechanical characteristic indexes of grounding pressure are used to describe the grounding characteristics.According to the influence of the foreign bodyembedded in the tire groove on the ground characteristics,the Cartesian coordinate system is established,and the influence trend of the foreign body diameter,tire pressure and load on the tire grounding characteristics is analyzed based on the transient working conditions.the influence of foreign body embedded in pattern groove on tire dynamic characteristics is analyzed by changing tire pressure,side slip angle and rolling speed.Considering the change of grounding characteristics caused by embedded foreign body in tire and then affecting the normal wear of tread,referring to the explicit updating method of tread wear proposed by Li Zhao and Xu Shunkai,the ABAQUS software is developed based on Fortran language,and the tread wear is calculated by Archard formula.Finally,the tread grid node coordinates are updated by UMESHMOTION subroutine.Through the analysis and comparison of the wear and wear of tread imprint between the implicit adaptive grid method and the explicit updating method,an explicit updating method is proposed to simulate the wear of foreign bodies embedded in tread grooves.Finally,the wear of complex pattern tire is simulated by explicit updating method,and the normal wear of tire and the wear of foreign body embedded in groove are simulated respectively.the results show that under normal wear condition,the wear of tire shoulder is more serious than that in the middle of tread.The back wear of the pattern block is more serious.The foreign body embedded in the pattern groove results in the uneven wear of the tread in the circumferential direction.with the increase of the wear mileage,the empty area formed by the extrusion of the foreign body and the groove increases gradually.In addition,the influence of wheel inclination angle on tire wear characteristics is also studied.The foreign body embedded in the pattern groove has an effect on the normal use of the tire.Based on the tire imprint test to verify the finite element model,the influence of changing the tire use conditions on the ground characteristics is studied,and the static and dynamic mechanical properties of the tire are analyzed.Based on the display update wear method,the effect of foreign body embedded in pattern groove on tread wear was studied.It provides a reference for pattern design and carcass structure optimization.
