Research On The Integration And Development Of Traditional Patterns In Fashion Design

As a decorative technique applied in various fields,especially in the application of traditional patterns in clothing.It not only requires novel themes and flexible forms of artistic expression,but also combines the structural characteristics of the fabric,weaving technology and use of the fabric and other factors.The pattern is one of the traditional cultural treasures in China,which has been inherited by later generations.Although the traditional pattern only plays an adjunct role in costume design,it occupies an indispensable position.This paper is titled A Study on the Integration and Development of Traditional Patterns in Costume Design.It is mainly because the application of traditional patterns can reflect the characteristics of an era,as well as people’s living standards and quality of life at that time.In the primitive society,people mainly wore functional clothing for cold protection,loincloth,and warmth.But with the changes of the times and the development of human beings,the working people have gradually developed their sense of aesthetics.Through constant breeding,the nature of people’s love for beauty is stimulated,and the traditional patterns are also constantly changing and developing in clothing.Costume patterns first appeared in people’s m inds and then gradually came into being in people’s ideas.By analyzing the application of patterns in clothing,we can view the political,economic and cultural characteristics of a specific period.Since the writing of this paper involves a wide range of content,it mainly adopts the methods of historical literature research,case analysis,comparative analysis and practical investigation.Different from the previous articles focusing on the application of traditional patterns in costume design,this paper firstly focuses on the classification of traditional patterns and explores the cultural connotation of patterns.Secondly,it elaborates on the historical evolution of costume patterns in various dynasties,and embodies the hierarchical concept,culture and norms of etiquette of traditional costume patterns in costume design.At the same time,it analyzes the aesthetic concept and the form of the pattern to discover its variation characteristics.Thirdly,it further analyzes how the traditional patterns are integrated with the costume design,so as to extract the essence and remove the dross Moreover,through the analysis of the application and development of ancient patterns in clothing,it explores the human cognition and pursuit of beauty.Finally,in view of the fact that the application of traditional patterns in clothing design is not invariable,it is concluded that the law of its development and change should be grasped,and it should be fully applied in design to create a new trend in clothing design.It is the prospect of the future development trend of traditional patterns in costume design.In the process of development and evolution of traditional patterns,it is imperative to integrate new ideas,new applications and new creations and combine the traditional pattern with modern clothing for creation,so that traditional patterns can conform to the development of modern design.As a symbol of Chinese national costume,the traditional pattern has been applied more and more in the apparel industry at home and abroad.In this regard,it is necessary to use ingenious design ideas to integrate traditional patterns with costume design,and effectively utilize and disseminate traditional elements with the help of efficient communication of the clothing in the cultural field,so as to achieve the purpose of inheriting traditional patterns.Furthermore,traditional elements can also be used as a new form of creative expression to enrich the categories of costume design,so that the two cultural domains of traditional patterns and costume design can be mutually beneficial and coordinated.
