This paper is to develop the configuration technique of safety,longevity and energy-saving insulated steel lining materials by optimizing and designing the material quality of 300T ladle lining refractory,the temperature of ladle shell can decreased by over 50? and the tapping temperature of molten steel in converter can decrease by 5??10?.This work can provide theoretical foundation and practical guidance to the heat insulation performance of related industrial kilns in steel industry.Meanwhile,it offers a beneficial way for the development of low-carbon economy in other high-temperature fields,such as cement,glass,ceramic,etc.Firstly,the properties of refractories for insulation layer,permanent layer and working layer of the ladle are introduced in detail.Microtherm nano insulation board,micropore corundum-mullite precast block or high-strength MgO-SiO2 insulation board are used as insulating layer refractories.High-purity CA6 based castables or light-weight mullite castables are chosen as the permanent layer refractories.MgO-C brick containing about 14%C is used at slag line,high-performance Al2O3-MgO precast block and corundum-spinel castables are used in the barrel and bottom of the working layer,respectively.The temperature of ladle shell is calculated using the heat transfer simulation method with adjustment of the material quality and thickness of insulation layer and permanent layer,fixing the total thickness of 98mm.The results show that the insulation layer and permanent layer consisted of Microtherm SG/S Y nano insulation board(with 5mm thickness),micropore corundum-mullite precast block(with 18mm thickness)and high-purity CA6 based castables(with 75mm thickness,bulk density of 3.07g/cm3)is advantageous with high performance price ratio.Under this material configuration,the temperature of outer ladle shell can decrease from 393? to 264? in slag line,and it can decrease from 342? to 249? in the barrel.The material configuration of the insulation layer and permanent layer was used in several ladles.The results show that the temperature of outer ladle shell is lower than that of the conventional ladle,the temperature drop in the slag line decreases by 80??100?,and which decreases by 10??50? in the barrel,suggesting that this material configuration is more facility for heat insulation of steel ladleIn the future work,several factors are optimized,namely the material quality,installation process,heating curve,etc,in order to prevent the formation of disruptive cracks,ensure the safe operation and heat insulation of the ladle.
