The Quantitative analysis of Geoscience developed gradually with the development of geoscience itself and the progress of technology and thought, many of these Quantitative analysis methods have been applied to the study of geological ore controlling factors and to the mineral prediction aspects, which is of great significance to the mine production.Especially in the process of coal mining, the spatial variation of coal seam thickness has great influence on the design of fully mechanized face and mining of mineral resources. The spatial variation of coal seam thickness is influenced by many factors, and there are many research results of the main controlling factors,at first, the study on the rule of influencing the thickness of coal seams is mainly based on the existing geological exploration data or information,on the basis of previous research results, and according to the theoretical knowledge of coalfield geology and sedimentary structure, etc.,compare and analysis the relationship between the variation law of coal seam thickness and geological environment of study area, and make qualitative analysis, but the qualitative analysis has certain subjectivity; With the development of algorithm research and geophysical exploration technology, the research on controlling factors of coal seam thickness spatial variation have turned to Quantitative analysis, which makes up for the defect of qualitative analysis. The Quantitative analysis methods that have been used before are mainly trend Surface analysis,Geostatistical method,Geophysical prospecting method,Multifractal analysis and other Quantitative analysis methods.Fractal singular value decomposition is an efficient algorithm for processing geophysics and chemical data.which was first used in the separation and extraction of anomalies, and then introduced in the field of geoscience.Because the spatial variation of coal seam thickness can also be regarded as a variation of thickness field to some extent,it has fractal law and spatial self-similarity,therefore,the Fractal singular value decomposition method can also be used to analyze the abnormal information of coal seam thickness spatial variation, and thus to find out the influencing factors of controlling coal seam thickness spatial variation law.Factor analysis is a common method in statistics. It is also widely used in geoscience Quantitative analysis.Factor analysis is introduced to analyze the controlling factors of the spatial variation of coal seam thickness, the correlation among the various factors can be found, and the main factors controlling the spatial variation of coal seam thickness can be obtained effectively. In this paper,we try to combine the Fractal Singular Value Decomposition method and the Factor analysis method to study and quantitative analysis the controlling factors of the spatial variation of coal seam thickness in Panji District coal mine(Periphery),Anhui Province.Six variables related to the thickness of Coal Seam No.8 were extracted from the Borehole data in the study area:1.By using the Fractal Singular Value Decomposition method, the paper interpolates the thickness of 8#coal seam and singular value decomposition it,makes singular value decomposition diagram, determines the segmentation inflexion point, and reconstructs the anomaly of each segment of the characteristic value and its corresponding characteristic subspace, compare the first three sections after reconstruction the remaining five variables, and different regions are divided according to the corresponding features, the coal-controlling geological factors of this area and each sub-area in each section of the anomaly are obtained. The conclusions are as follows:The first anomaly reflects the control of Palaeotopography, lithofacies Palaeogeography and hydrodynamic conditions on the spatial variation of coal seam thickness. The main factors controlling the variation of coal seam thickness in each sub-region are:Area one,Palaeotopography,Area two,Palaeotopography, present tectonic position, synsedimentary structure, lithofacies Palaeogeography and hydrodynamic conditions,Area three,Controlling effect of Chenqiao-Panji District anticline,Area four and five, lithofacies Palaeogeography and hydrodynamic conditions; The second anomaly reflects the control of lithofacies Palaeogeography and hydrodynamic conditions on the spatial variation of coal seam thickness. The main factors controlling the variation of coal seam thickness in each sub-region are:Area one,Palaeotopography,Area two,Palaeotopography, present tectonic position, synsedimentary structure,Area three,Controlling effect of Chenqiao-Panji District anticline and fault,Area four,Synsedimentary structure and lithofacies Palaeogeography and hydrodynamic conditions,Area five, lithofacies Palaeogeography and hydrodynamic conditions. The controlling factors of the thickness variation of coal seam reflected by the third member anomaly are Palaeotopography, present tectonic position, lithofacies Palaeogeography and hydrodynamic conditions, the law reflected by each sub-region is not obvious.2.Factor analysis is mainly carried out in SPSS software, and on the basis of the fractal singular value decomposition method to decompose the thickness of 8#coal seam, extracts the corresponding thickness of 8#coal seam for each section of anomaly after reconstruction, the 8#coal seam thickness corresponding to each segment anomaly and the remaining 5 variables are input into SPSS software respectively, and the factor analysis is carried out and the analysis results are output, the Correlation Matrix of different variables, the variance of each component interpretation and the rotated component matrix are obtained for each anomaly,by comparing the variance contribution of three principal components and the factor load after rotation, the main factors controlling the spatial variation of coal seam thickness in each section are obtained. The results show that the main factors controlling the spatial variation of coal seam thickness are Palaeotopography, present tectonic position, lithofacies Palaeogeography and hydrodynamics by factor analysis of the thickness of 8#coal seam and the remaining 5 variables extracted from the first three anomalies.Combining the two Quantitative analysis methods, this paper analyzes the main factors that affect the spatial variation of coal seam thickness in Panji District coal mine(Periphery),Anhui Province.the first and second anomalies obtained the control factors not obtained by the fractal singular value decomposition method through factor analysis, which can supplement the results obtained by the fractal singular value decomposition method, the analysis results of the third segment anomaly are consistent between the two methods. The two methods jointly illustrate the main factors controlling the spatial variation of coal seam thickness in this area, and the effectiveness of Fractal singular value decomposition and Factor analysis method in studying the main controlling factors of the spatial variation of coal seam thickness is also explained, the two methods have their own advantages, and their combination can make up for the deficiency of the single method and make the analysis results more accurate.Figure[20]table[10]reference[88]...
