Presently, the global climate changes, characterized by global warming, have become a major environmental challenge facing mankind. The productions of food processing, storage, transportation and consumption process in various ways are also produce carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases.Food as the basis of people's survival, food consumption produced by greenhouse gas emissions is also increasingly not negligible. This paper takes the urban and rural residents of Anhui province as the research object, and explores the impact of food consumption on energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions of the provincial residents between 1990 and 2018.Among them, the energy consumption data of residents' food consumption, storage and each link of food production and processing come from China statistical yearbook and Anhui statistical yearbook in the websites of national bureau of statistics,Anhui provincial bureau of statistics. The analysis of energy consumption level related to food consumption of residents adopts standard coal conversion method and carbon emission coefficient method for carbon dioxide emission level analysis, and Analyze the influencing factors of residents' carbon emission. At the same time, according to different income levels, the statistics from 2002 to 2012,11 years spent the diet of different income level of residents in cities and towns and its changes, economic level, and to analyze the effect of urbanization on residents'daily diet structure, finally, analyzes the factors influencing residents'carbon dioxide emissions. The following conclusions are drawn:(1)The food consumption structure of urban residents is relatively stable, and the change range of carbon emission in statistical years is smaller than that of rural residents.(2)The corresponding direct energy consumption of household food is lower than the indirect energy consumption, and the total indirect carbon emission is almost equal to the total direct carbon emission.Furthermore, the household carbon emissions are more than the total carbon emissions in food process.(3)In addition, the development of urbanization in Anhui province leads to an increase in the total energy consumption of food consumption and carbon dioxide emission year by year. The energy consumption and carbon emission level of urban residents are slightly higher than that of rural residents.(4)The factors affecting the total carbon emissions of urban and rural residents in Anhui province mainly include carbon dioxide emissions per unit of energy consumption, population, level of economic development, transportation, energy consumption for agricultural production and technical level of food production, household cooking energy, food storage mode and people's lifestyle.(5)Among the factors affecting residents' carbon dioxide, residents'living standard and population are the main positive factors, while carbon dioxide emission per unit of energy consumption is the main restraining factor affecting residents' indirect carbon dioxide emission. The higher the economic level is,the more the population is,and the indirect energy consumption and carbon dioxide emission caused by the consumption of food will increase accordingly.(6)The urban residents in Anhui province daily grain and oil, vegetables, spices food consumption in all kinds of food as a proportion of the total consumption showed significant negative correlation with the residents' income level, and as the growth of the year for high-income households groups this three kinds of food consumption in family food proportion of total consumption.According to the above conclusions, the paper proposes reasonable adjustment of dietary structure. We will improve the mix of energy consumption and promote the use of clean energy.Rationalize industrial structure and increase technological innovation. To strengthens the publicity of energy conservation and emission reduction policies.Such as education.
