Centrifugal compressors are one of the most commonly used compressors in petrochemical enterprises.Their operation status is directly related to the production stability and safety of enterprises.If equipment fails,equipment damage will result.It may also cause an unplanned shutdown or even a full-plant shutdown of a set of devices,causing significant economic losses to enterprises.This topic is based on the status monitoring and fault diagnosis system of China and South Korea(Wuhan)petrochemical ethylene large unit,and the import temperature of ethylene refrigeration compressor unit reaches-101 °C.If the inlet flow of the compressor is too high at the time of boot,the temperature drop of the compressor is too fast.The low temperature resistance of the compressor parts is too high,and it is easy to cause damage to the compressor parts.If the inlet flow of the compressor is too small,it may cause rotation stall or even surge phenomenon and generate large vibration problems.The fault mechanism and characteristics of ethylene refrigeration compressor are analyzed and studied in this paper,which has far-reaching significance for its stable operation and reliability.The structure,principle,characteristics and classification of centrifugal compressor are studied at the beginning of this paper.Then the present situation and development trend of fault diagnosis at home and abroad are analyzed.Finally,the state monitoring and fault diagnosis of the equipment are summarized,combined with the characteristics of centrifugal compressors,the key technical points of vibration monitoring and diagnosis are studied,and the analysis method of vibration failure is also studied.Based on the actual requirements of enterprises and the characteristics of ethylene refrigeration compressors,a state monitoring and fault diagnosis system for ethylene refrigeration compressors has been developed.From the selection of sensors and the layout of monitoring points to the design of the system,the system is based on system design principles.Design from both hardware and software;The system function is designed according to the modular design idea to realize the function of ethylene refrigeration compressor state monitoring and fault diagnosis system.In the end,the feasibility and practical effect of state monitoring and faultdiagnosis system are confirmed with the petroleum ethylene refrigeration compressor of China and South Korea(Wuhan)as the diagnosis case.The importance and necessity of the application of on-line equipment status monitoring and fault diagnosis technology in petrochemical enterprises are further demonstrated.
