Reasearch On The Comprehensive Performance Evaluation System Of Listed Companies Of Energy Conservation And Environmental Protection

As Chinese strategic emerging industry,the energy conservation and environmental protection industry have become one of the major pillar industries of the current national economy.The energy conservation and environmental protection industry can effectively alleviate resource and environmental bottlenecks in China’s economic and social development,and is also conducive to the upgrading of industrial structure and the transformation of economic development mode.Moreover,it is currently in the stage of high-speed development,with huge market potential in the future.As the main force of environmental protection,the listed companies of energy conservation and environmental protection are playing an irreplaceable role.However,due to the unclear overall development directions,the imperfect development strategy and the nonstandard industrial market,the scientific development of energy conservation and environmental protection listed companies still need to be further explored.This study is committed to building a scientific and reasonable comprehensive performance evaluation system for the listed companies of energy conservation and environmental protection.Then,with the effective integration of various research methods,including Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA)and Panel Model,a comprehensive understanding of the current development,performance level,key influencing factors of listed energy conservation and environmental protection companies were acquired.In this study,DEA was used to analyze the comprehensive performance of listed energy conservation and environmental protection companies and Panel Model was used to explore the main factors that affect the performance development of the listed energy conservation and environmental protection companies.Based on the empirical analysis,scientific and reasonable development suggestions were put forward at the micro enterprise level.Based on the data sorting and screening,this study selected 86 listed companies of energy conservation and environmental protection with 3 years data for empirical analysis.Through the analysis of DEA results,it can be seen that the average comprehensive efficiency of listed energy conservation and environmental protection companies was over 90%and the overall comprehensive performance level was better,but less than half of the enterprises were DEA-effective,which showed that more than half of the enterprises failed to achieve effective output at the current input ratio,and many enterprises existed the problem of investment redundancy,for example,the much cost of research and development and excessive investment of research and development personnel.In addition,the panel model results showed that employee welfare,tax contribution,social relief and research and development investment showed a significant positive impact on the economic development of listed energy conservation and environmental protection companies at a significant level of 0.01,while other variables had no significant impact on the economic development of listed energy conservation and environmental protection companies.Based on the data analysis and empirical results,this study givesreasonable and effective suggestions to improve the comprehensive performance development of listed energy comprehensive and environmental protection companies:reasonable allocation of resources,increase of research and development efforts,appropriate introduction of young professional research and development personnel;improvement of employee welfare,increase of corporate social donation;technical cooperation with professional colleges and universities;maintain the existing foreign market and expand the scope of sales;increase the personalized service of enterprises,strengthen customer after-sales service and management,so as to,achieve the purpose of steady growth of comprehensive performance of energy conservation and environmental protection companies.In the period of strategic transformation of economic and sustainable development,energy conservation and environmental protection industry confronted with the huge pressure of resources and environment in China.The reasonable performance evaluation and development strategy of listed enterprises of energy conservation and environmental protection industry will effectively promote the realization of win-win social,economic,and environmental benefits.
