Vanadium-titanium magnetite is an extremely important mineral resource.Although the development and utilization of vanadium-titanium magnetite have been greatly improved,the utilization of resources remains insufficient for the Hongge mining area in Panxi,because in addition to rich in iron,vanadium and titanium resources,Hongge vanadium-titanium magnetite is also associated with precious chromium resources.Based on this,analytical pure chemical reagents were used in this study as experimental raw materials,using XRD,SEM,Raman and other modern analytical testing techniques to analyze the influence of MgO,Al2O3,TiO2,and binary basicity on the viscosity of chromium-containing high-titanium melting slag obtained in the melting process of Hongge vanadium titanomagnetite and the following conclusions were drawn:(1)For the chromium-free melting slag(CaO-SiO2-MgO-Al2O3-TiO2)and the chromium-containing melting slag(CaO-SiO2-MgO-Al2O3-TiO2-2%Cr2O3),the viscosity of the slag first decreases and then increases as the MgO content increases.the minimum viscosity of melting slag was found at the mass fraction of 11.22%and 10.22%of MgO,respectively.With the increases of Al2O3 content,the viscosity of melting slag gradually increases.With the increases of TiO2 content,the viscosity of the melting slag increases in the chromium-free melting slag.For the chromium-containing melting slag,with the increase of TiO2 mass fraction,the viscosity of the melting slag decreases first and then increases.At the TiO2 mass fraction of 38.63%,the viscosity of the melting slag has the minimum value.With the increase of binary basicity,the viscosity of the melting slags decrease under both slag systemes conditions.(2)Comparing the Raman spectra of chromium-free melting slag(CaO-SiO2-MgO-Al2O3-TiO2)with the chromium-containing melting slag(CaO-SiO2-MgO-Al2O3-TiO2-2%Cr2O3),with the increases of TiO2 content,the Raman band is mainly concentrated in the range of 600?900 cm-1.When the mass fraction of TiO2 is 36.63%,the Raman band center of the chromium-free quenched slag is shifted to the left relative to the center of the Raman band of the chromium-containing quenched slag,and when the mass fraction of TiO2 is 38.63%,the center of the Raman band of the chromium-free quenched slag is shifted to the right relative to the center of the Raman band of the chromium-containing quenched slag.When the binary basicity is 0.9,the Raman band is mainly concentrated in the range of 700 to 900 cm-1.The center of the Raman band of the chromium-free quenched slag is shifted to the right relative to the center of the Raman band of the chromium-containing quenched slag.(3)The XRD analysis of the precipitates of the chromium-free melting slag(CaO-SiO2-MgO-Al2O3-TiO2)and the chromium-containing melting slag(CaO-SiO2-MgO-Al2O3-TiO2-2%Cr2O3)show that with the increase of MgO,Al2O3 and TiO2 content,the phase composition of the precipitates changes little,but the diffraction peak intensity of each phase is different.With the addition of Cr2O3,the MgAl2O4 phase in the precipitated phase was changed to the Mg(AI)-chromium spinel phase.In the two slag systems,the precipitation of the precipitated phases is similar with the increase of the binary basicity.When the binary basicity increases from 0.5 to 0.7,the precipitations are anosovite,spinel,clinopyroxene,diopside,pyroxene,and sphene.When the binary basicity increases from 0.7 to 0.9,the composition of the precipitate phase becomes more complicated,with the precipitation of the perovskite and the metastable calcium-titanium oxide.(4)The SEM analysis of the micro-morphologies of the chromium-free melting slag(CaO-SiO2-MgO-Al2O3-TiO2)and the chromium-containing melting slag(CaO-SiO2-MgO-Al2O3-TiO2-2%Cr2O3)show that with the increase of MgO,Al2O3 and TiO2 content,the shape and distribution of the precipitates change significantly.Combined with EDS and XRD analysis,it is black titanite.With the increase of binary basicity,the micro-morphology of the precipitates changes significantly,and the spinel phases eventually precipitates.
