Water Design In Park Green Space Based On River Habitat Restoration

Urban river restoration is an important part of China's ecological civilization construction.River habitat restoration is not only one of the important goals of river restoration,but also one of the efficient,comprehensive and economical methods in river restoration.Although huge fund has been invested in river management throughout the land,these restoration efforts are often concentrated on large river systems in cities.As a kind of river with small scale and special function in the city,the water body in the park is paid more attention to its social and economic benefits while its ecological function is neglected,which leads to many ecological problems and is not conducive to the sustainable development of the water body in the park green space.The aim of this study is to explore the planning and design methods of water bodies in park green spaces,which are based on river habitat restoration.First and foremost,the important aspects in the process of river habitat restoration were identified through the research on the related progress of river habitat restoration.In the subsequent stage of research on the river habitat construction method,a river habitat health assessment system for landscape water bodies in the park was primarily established to evaluate and classify the quality of the current river habitat.Afterwards the ecological planning methods and relevant landscape methods from the perspective of river habitat restoration were summarized.At the ecological planning level,the indicator species in the site were firstly selected,and then the suitable habitat conditions were analyzed to find the potential habitat,which was regarded as an important factor in the ecological sensitivity analysis.Besides,Arc GIS10.2 was applied to the ecological sensitivity and suitability analysis,in order to delineate a red line for river habitat protection and planned ecological zone which form the basis of overall planning layout.From the perspective of specific landscape design,the key design points were summarized based on the relevant river habitat construction,including water,plant landscape,road system and recreational facility development.Then,related domestic and foreign cases were conducted to summarize practical experience.At last,the above research achievements were applied to the practice of landscape water body design in the Beijing Botanical Garden.This paper put the emphasis on river habitat restoration in park green space landscape water body,made up for the lack of past studies on river health assessment of small and medium scale rivers with simple land use.The combination of methods in habitat construction and landscape design in the study can be counted as a guidance as well as a reference for the sustainable construction of landscape water body in the park green space in the future.
