With the rapid development of aircraft carriers in China in recent years,the existing aviation tires have gradually failed to meet the requirements of the modern military industry.The main problems are poor bearing capacity,high tire heat buildup,and poor aging resistance of rubber material.After years of development,traditional tire compounding aids can improve rubber processing conditions and give rubber products various superior performances,but it is difficult to meet the demanding requirements of high-performance aviation tires.Therefore,there are important social and economic benefits in utilizing,developing and synthesizing new materials to improve the performance of tread rubber.The new reinforcing filler graphene is used in aviation tire tread rubber,while adjusting other contents to optimize and improve the recipe of tread rubber and sidewall rubber of aviation tire.The research results show that graphene is evenly dispersed in the rubber compounds and firmly bonded to the rubber matrix.When replacing part of carbon black,it can effectively improve the tensile strength,elongation at break,the load-bearing capacity,aging resistance and resilience of the tread rubber,reduce the rubber compression heat buildup.Three new multifunctional rubber additives TPP,TPL,TPI were synthesized by combining tea polyphenols with p-phenylenediamine,lanthanum chloride and ionic liquid respectively,since the biomass material tea polyphenols are rich in active phenol hydroxyl groups and can be further high-performance.The three additives were applied to the optimized recipe of tread rubber of aviation tire.The results show that TPP can promote the curing activity of the rubber compound,reduce the abration and the compression heat buildup of the tread rubber,and at the same time improve the mechanical properties of tread to a certain extent.The tread rubber also has excellent anti-aging properties.TPL and TPI can promote vulcanization and reduce heat buildup of tread rubber.Appropriate use of TPL and TPI can improve the physical and mechanical properties and aging resistance of some rubber compounds.The successful preparation of three new green multifunctional rubber additives can open up research ideas and lay the theoretical and practical foundation for the rapid development of China's aviation tires.
