Since from 1990,the sales volume of Chinese automotive industries has experienced a period of explosive increasing,various of cars have changed from reachless luxuries to normal and essential tools of daily transportation to common Chinese families nowadays.China also become to the largest automotive country in the world since at the beginning of its foundation with zero basis.However,the sales volume of Chinese automotive industries decreased from 2018 which was never happened in the past 28 years and this sales trend will last for a long time.Conclude the influence of large amount of cars in China and slowing increase of global economies,the factor that quality issues of cars result in Chinese people are not willing to buy a new car cannot be ignored.,such as Toyota recalled by Takada airbag quality issue,Honda CRV engine oil overflow issue,Benz engine oil leaking issue etc.These quality issues have caused much un-satisfaction of consumers,the reason of these issues was imperfect project quality management in new product introduction process.New product introduction project quality management throughout the whole new product introduction process,it escorts the success of new product introduction and laid a solid foundation of SOP(mass production)product quality and warranty(aftersales)product quality.This article based on domestic and international new product introduction quality management status,quality management requirement,method and tools,OEM requirement and IATF 16949 automotive quality management system requirement,combined the characteristics of new product introduction quality management and automotive quality management,deeply studied currently new product introduction status of rear windshield in FQ company,analyzed the problems exist in this project and root cause for these problems accordingly,implemented serious improvement actions by organization optimization,APQP quality gate review,8D method,PDCA cycle to insure all project targets were achieved before mass production approved.It not only provides a best practice for following new products introduction but also a useful integrity supplement to internal quality managements system of FQ company.
