With the continuous development of the pulp trade on a global scale,China's pulp production is currently facing a series of challenges such as shortage of raw materials, environmental pollution control, and Sino-US trade friction. With the tightening of domestic raw material supplies and rising demand for paper products, accurate measurement of the embodied pulp flow between countries and regions around the world and its changing trend has become an effective evaluation of the pulp trade structure of countries around the world in the context of globalization, also an important prerequisite for the status quo, existing problems, and judgment of its future trends. In this article,we use the concept of "embodied pulp" to represent the total direct and indirect consumption of pulp by a country or region in the entire production and consumption activities of a country or region during a certain period of time due to its final demand. The technical advantages of the Eora database use the multi-regional input-output model to measure the implied pulp of global trade, and at the same time study the flow of implied pulp from the national level, and then from the technical, structural and scale effects according to the structural decomposition model Discuss the trends of trade implied pulp in major countries. The results show that: pulp production and consumption activities in developing countries began to increase, the export volume of embodied t pulp continued to increase, while exports of developed countries began to decrease, and embodied pulp trade activities began to shift from developed countries to developing countries;scale effect is the main factor to promote the export of embodied pulp in developing countries, and technical effect is the main factor to inhibit the export in developed countries.Based on the above research results, this article provides several suggestions for related tradepolicies: Firstly,on the one hand, developing countries that mainly rely on embodied pulp in export trade need to continuously strengthen the optimization of production technology, reduce the use efficiency of pulp, and improve the effect of technical effects,on the other hand, they should further control the output of pulp brought by scale effects, appropriately adjusting the domestic trade structure, and export more commodities with low embodied pulp consumption.Secondly,as net importers,China and some developed countries should provide more technical support to pulp exporters to help global forest resources Continue to operate.Thirdly,China should promote the diversification of pulp imports while increasing the cultivation of artificial forests.
