At the same time as China's rapid economic development,the process of urbanization is also advancing rapidly.With the extensive expansion and development of the industrial economy,environmental degradation and energy shortages have become increasingly prominent.Urban development is facing crises such as ecological imbalances and environmental benefits collapse.The main reason is that the ability of green innovation is not strong and it is a traditional energy-consuming development mode.Combining the two development concepts of green and innovation,vigorously developing a green economy,and accelerating the reform of the ecological civilization system are the first driving forces leading the development of urban agglomerations.The construction of urban agglomerations has become an important frontier for achieving regional economic innovation,coordination,and sustainable development,and is a core force for the unification of economic and environmental benefits.This article summarizes the research literature on green innovation at home and abroad,sorts out the current research hotspots,reviews various research methods and research perspectives,analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the current urban green innovation research;puts forward the research ideas,methods and content of this article;explains the relevant research theory and method basis;measures the green innovation level of each city in the Yangtze River Delta,and analyzes the characteristics of urban space-time evolution;constructs a social network model,measures the green innovation correlation among cities in the Yangtze River Delta,and carries out network evolution analysis of driving factors;constructs a panel regression model,analyzing the spatial autocorrelation of the level of green innovation in the Yangtze River Delta from the perspective of time and space,and further analyzing the spatial spillover effects of driving factors.Finally,based on the empirical results of each chapter,the countermeasures and suggestions for promoting the integration of urban green innovation development are given.The main conclusions are:(1)Analysis of the green innovation level measurement and evolution process of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration.Combining experience and previous research foundations,integrating two major categories of green and innovation indicators,constructing a green innovation indicator system,and applying a comprehensive evaluation method of projection pursuit models,the green innovation capabilities of 26 cities in the Yangtze River Delta from 2008 to 2017 are measured,and the evolutionary trends are analyzed.The results show that the comprehensive level of green innovation in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration has been steadily increasing year by year,but the regional development differences are obvious.Shanghai and its surroundings are developed areas,and most areas in Anhui are underdeveloped areas.Gini coefficient shows that regional differences are prominent year by year However,the increase is slow,and there is an opportunity for restraint.The center of gravity trajectory shows that the communication centers of Wuxi,Huzhou,and Suzhou are the core positions of green innovation in the Yangtze River Delta.(2)Analysis of green innovation network construction and driving factors in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration.Based on the data of urban green innovation capabilities,the study uses improved gravity models to measure the strength of green innovation connection between cities,builds urban green innovation-related networks,and analyzes the network structure to further explore the influence mechanism of driving factors.The results show that the strength of the green innovation network structure of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration is increasing year by year,and the overall network is getting closer and closer;the cities with control over the network are concentrated in several developed cities,forming a multi-core pattern,and the overall centrality of the network is slowing down.The distribution of subgroups is stable,and the internal relations of subgroups are closely related.The network evolution presents a multi-factor driving effect.Economic development distance,geographical distance,and differences in educational resources weaken urban connections.Utilizing differences in foreign investment,differences in the number of colleges,and differences in communication technology can promote urban green innovation relationship.(3)Analysis on the spatial spillover effects of green innovation in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration.From an individual perspective,the spatial correlation of urban green innovation is studied.The paper constructs a Spatial Dubin Model to analyze the spatial spillover effects of influencing factors.The research shows that the level of economic development,industrial structure,internet technology level,communication technology development,and the level of opening up have a positive spillover effect on the green innovation capabilities of urban agglomerations,which can promote the coordinated development of green innovation levels in cities;financial science,technology investment,and education investment have spillover effects on green innovation in urban agglomerations.The negative impact indicates that the resource allocation of current fiscal expenditure needs to be further optimized.Finally,based on the empirical structure of the urban agglomeration's green innovation level measurement,green innovation network construction,network driving factor research,and urban green innovation spillover effect research,the countermeasures and suggestions for sustainable development of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration are put forward to realize the economic sustainable development.In order to achieve the unification of economic and environmental benefits in the Yangtze River Delta and promote the integration of green and innovative cities,recommendations for improvement are provided.
