| With the rapid development of railways in China,the construction mileage of high-speed railway and the total amount of passengers and freight transportation in China keep growing at a quick momentum.To ensure the safety of railway transportation and strengthen the management of the transportation business,video surveillance systems have been widely used to conduct monitoring over all railway departments and transportation lines.The 24-hour uninterrupted monitoring of passenger and freight transportation business not only ensures the safe and orderly operation of railway transportation,but also provides a guarantee for the safety of the passengers’ lives and properties.The traditional railway video surveillance system presents various issues,including incomplete coverage,imperfect monitoring performance or functions,and unfavorable system for expansion or reconstruction.So it is essential for the railway industry to design and build a high definition railway video surveillance system.The paper takes China Railway Shanghai Group Co.,Ltd.’s Video Surveillance System in Railway Train Operation Project as an example,and conducts a thorough research on the high definition video surveillance system and its application in railway system.Firstly,the paper offers a brief introduction to the principle,history and current status of video surveillance systems,discusses and analyzes its structure and key technologies.Then the paper gives a comprehensive introduction to the integrated railway video surveillance system,and analyzes in details its structure,equipment types and the railway CTC system.Based on an overall analysis of the current systems,while considering the current development of video technologies and the demand for high definition,the paper puts forwards a comprehensive planning and design of an integrated railway video surveillance system that meets the needs of modern railways for high speed,informatization,intelligence and diversification.The paper takes China Railway Shanghai Group Co.,Ltd.’s Video Monitoring Control System in Railway Train Operation Project as an example,offers an analysis of the project demands,analyzes and discusses the video access node construction schemes,video storage schemes,front-end acquisition point construction schemes.The proposal enables the full digital processing of the video surveillance system.Its application of the current cloud storage technologies meets the requirements of mass storage and data sharing.The use of the latest IPC in the acquisition points throughout the whole line equipped the system with PTZ function,with higher definition,higher sensitivity,and greater system stability and reliability.The construction scheme proposed in the paper has been implemented in actual projects,and has fully met the design requirements and the requirements of railway system operation and management. |
