This paper mainly studied the preparation and properties of butyl pressure-sensitive adhesive for waterproof materials.The basic formula included 85 phr IIR,15 phr high molecular weight PIB I,90 phr low molecular weight PIB II,90 phr C5 petroleum resin and 200 phr CaCO3.The coupling agent,regenerated butyl rubber,EVA,ECO,AEM,liquid nitrile rubber and liquid polysulfide rubber were selected as the modified materials,and a small amount of the above modified materials were introduced into the basic formula respectively.Through heat resistance test,initial viscosity test,viscosity test,peel strength test,shear strength test,dynamic mechanical properties test,DSC test and thermogravimetric analysis etc.,to study the influence of different modified materials on the properties of butyl pressure-sensitive adhesive,and finally the best formula of comprehensive properties was determined.The results showed that when IIR was 85 phr,PIB I was 15 phr,PIB II was 90 phr,C5 petroleum resin was 90 phr,CaCO3 was 200 phr,ECO was 1phr,4010 NA was 0.17 phr,the pressure-sensitive adhesive had the best comprehensive properties and the highest adhesive strength.Under the condition of 80?×2h,it had no flowing,crazing and deformation.The results of initial adhesion test was 2.3,the holding time was 50 min,the shear strength of coil and coil was 15.71N/mm,the peel strength was 4.1N/mm,the shear strength of coil and color steel plate was 7.74N/mm,the peel strength was 4N / mm,the shear strength of coil and cement plate was 7.31N/mm,the peel strength was 4.23N/mm,the test results were higher than GB/t23260-2009.In addition,RPA temperature scanning results showed that the elastic rheological behavior was exhibited in the range of 35?-90?.TGA results showed that its heat-resistant temperature could reach to 345?,and when the temperature was higher than 345 ?,thermal decomposition beginedobviously.
