Effective treatment of rural domestic waste has an important impact on the construction of rural ecological civilization. In recent years, due to the economic assessment as an important indicator of agricultural economic development in rural areas, the supply of public goods for environmental protection in rural areas has been seriously lacking, which is far from the goal of agricultural modernization in an all-round way.Studying the supply process of domestic waste infrastructure and supporting services in rural areas is actually a problem of resource supply and rational allocation of resources in a small pond.As users and beneficiaries of environmental protection activities, their participation in the governance process can effectively improve the cooperative performance of rural domestic waste management. However,it is not difficult to see from the actual survey that the enthusiasm and actual participation of farmers are not high.In addition, the overall investment mechanism of government departments is not perfect, and the interests of stakeholders involved in governance activities are not clearly divided, which may lead to collective dilemma in the cooperative supply of rural environmental protection public goods. The emergence of social capital is a complementary form of natural, material and human capital, and an ideal tool to achieve the unity of individual behavior of farmers and collective choice of farmers' communities,so as to effectively improve the plight of cooperative management of domestic waste in rural areas. Therefore, based on social capital as a starting point, this paper carries out its impact analysis on rural domestic waste cooperative governance activities, and then puts forward policy recommendations. From the perspective of social capital, this paper analyses the cooperative participation behavior of rural households in the management of rural domestic waste.Firstly, using evolutionary game theory analysis tools, this paper makes a comparative analysis of the two patterns of strong government-weak village and strong village-weak government,in order to obtain the evolutionary mechanism of the participation behavior choice of relevant stakeholders in the management of rural domestic waste.By introducing variables related to social capital and the choice of farmers' behavior modes,we can promote the formation of collective action in rural areas through the moral mechanism, network mechanism, trust mechanism, normative mechanism, reputation mechanism and identification mechanism existing in rural communities, and then realize Pareto optimum. Then, using 421 households' micro-survey data in typical rural areas of Xingyang City,Henan Province, the status quo of cooperative management of rural domestic waste is analyzed. Finally,on the basis of the above statistical analysis, using Helman two-stage model, from the two aspects of whether farmers are willing to participate in governance and participation quota, this paper explores the impact of individual characteristics of farmers, characteristics of village communities, system design of relevant government departments, four dimensions of social capital and external environmental conditions on farmers' participation in Cooperative Governance of rural domestic waste.Through empirical analysis, the main conclusions are as follows:(1)Farmers' health status, education level, age of farmers, scope of public space, openness of public space and government supervision all pass the significant test of willingness to participate in rural domestic waste management;Farmers' age, residence time in villages and social trust all have actual participation in financing of rural domestic waste management.Through the significance test.(2)Social capital has different effects on farmers' willingness to participate in rural household waste management and financing behavior in two decision-making processes.(3)Among the four dimensions of social capital that can be observed, social trust has a positive impact on farmers' actual participation in financing through a positive significance test, but not significant.
