With the proposal of the rural revitalization strategy and the improvement of the living standard of rural residents, the collaborative governance of rural environment has increasingly become a key content of current rural governance. However, the current rural environmental governance still has the characteristics of campaign-style governance and the government’s complete dominance,so it is urgent to further promote rural residents to participate in the process of environmental governance. At the same time, there is also a lack of index system about the effect of farmers’participation in environmental collaborative governance. Therefore,it is necessary to improve the index system based on clarifying farmers’ environmental participation and it’s influencing factors.Through the analysis of the survey data of Changting County,Fujian Province,we found that the implementation of the environmental participation behavior of rural residents is better on the whole, but there are some internal differences, that is,the implementation degree of the environmental participation behavior closely related to the interests of rural residents is obviously better than that of the environmental participation behavior not closely related to the interests of rural residents. On the other hand, through qualitative analysis,it also has great individual differences.Individuals with similar objective characteristics have obvious differences in their enthusiasm for environmental participation. This difference mainly stems from the difference of subjective cognition represented by social trust formed in the process of communication and interaction between farmers and various objects.Social trust is considered to have a significant impact on individual community participation, but the connotation of it in rural areas has changed, its objects have become diversified, and at the same time,it is in the transition period from interpersonal trust to institutional trust. But at all times, trust is the emotional and institutional bond that holds rural communities together. Therefore,we need to timely understand the current social trust situation of rural villagers in rural areas. The social trust of local villagers can be divided into three dimensions:interpersonal trust, able person trust and institutional trust, and the social trust level is generally at a high level.Further analysis shows that social trust has a significant positive impact on the villagers’ environmental participation behavior, and the able person trust and institutional trust also have a significant impact on the environmental participation behavior.Through to incorporated community belonging and self-efficacy in the relationship between social trust and environmental participation behavior into study,we found that the sense of community belonging play a partial medium role in the relationship between social trust and environmental participation behavior.Based on our findings, under the principle of all kinds of subjective cognitive dimensions represented by social trust should be included in the evaluation index system in the evaluation index design of rural environmental collaborative governance,we designed the evaluation this index system to ensure the comprehensiveness and specificity of the whole evaluation. In addition,The establishment of trust is a longterm process,We should respond to the demands in time, improve the enthusiasm of participation and other measures to enhance the level of social trust, community belonging and self-efficacy of villagers, and gradually establish a rural environmental governance model to promote the continuous participation of different governance subjects.
