With the development of the economy and society, urbanization and industrialization continue to rise, exacerbating environmental pollution.Compared with traditional supply chain, green supply chain has attracted extensive attention from the industry and academia due to its more positive impact on the environment. At the same time, the birth of big data has given rise to massive information. How to effectively utilize, share and enhance the value of information has become a common concern of supply chain members. Therefore,it is very significant to study the information sharing strategy of green product supply chain. The paper studies an information sharing problem in a green product supply chain, where a retailer shares its market information with manufacturers.Consumers’ demand information, including their responses on the pricing and environmental attributes of the green product,is delivered from the retailer to the manufacturers.Different from the existing literature, the environmental information is involved in the product demand information.Nevertheless, the retailer’s information collection cost and the manufacturers’ information sharing side payment are considered in our research setting, and the interactive decision problems of the retailer and manufacturers on information sharing strategies are fully investigated. The findings show that either the retailer or manufacturer is not always willing to share or acquire information, even in a single-supplier supply chain. When the competitions between manufacturers are involved, the situation goes complicated. The manufactures could be better off or worse off from information sharing, while the retailer has differential information sharing strategies when facing distinguished information collection cost and information sharing revenue. The optimal information sharing strategies are proposed to provide decision supports for the retailer and manufacturers. An information-sharing cost-subsidy policy is further addressed to improve the profitable performance of the supply chain. As far as the environmental performance of supply chain is concerned,in the single-supplier supply chain, when the greenness of products is same, the environmental performance of the direct selling channel is always better than that of the retailer channel. The analytical results also show that the information sharing could not always improve the environmental performance.Under the supplier competitive supply chain, information sharing even reduces the manufacturer’s enthusiasm for environmental protection.
