The Spiral bevel gears are extensively used in ship,automobile,mining-machinery and agricultural machinery because of the advantages such as fixed transmission radio,high transmission efficiency,stable transmission,reliable work,small noise and so on.In addition,they are able to realize the motion transmission the between multi-axle gears.The gears are usually applied in workplace of large torque,heavy load and strong impact,such as the rear axle differential of automobile.The tooth structure and the shape of tooth surface is very complicated with complex gear structure.The middle point spiral angle of zero degree arc tooth bevel gears is 0 degrees.In the process of tooth blank design and solid modeling,the clamping position of milling cutter and workpiece,contact area of tooth surface and assembly error of gear have a profound influence on the meshing quality and transmission performance of gear.In order to control the quality of gears in manufacturing,improve the performance in meching and service life,the establishment of geometric model,the adjustment of contact area and the meshing transmission law is deeply studied in this paper.Based on the principle of space meshing and the processing method of surface milling,the coordinate conversion of machine tools is established and the conjugate meshing equation is deduced in this paper.Then,a new method for determining boundary conditions is proposed to determine the parameter range of tooth surface.Finally,the three-dimensional geometric model of zero degree spiral bevel gear is established in Pro/E.In order to solve the "external contact" phenomenon of the meshing surface of the gears in Pro/E,the rolling ratio of machine tool and radial tool position in small gear is properly amended in Pro/E and MATLAB on the basis of the principle of surface milling.The results show that on the premise that the rolling ratio of the machine tool is unchanged,with the raise of radial tool position,the milling cutter cutting on the outside of small wheel concave surface is realized and the "external contact" phenomenon is finally eliminated.The multi pair tooth model of zero degree arc tooth bevel gear is established in Pro/E.Accordingly,the finite element nonlinear contact model is established in ABAQUS.Then,meshing transmission of gear pair is nonlinearly calculated.Finally,the influence of angle error of the axis of gear pair,conical vertex error of small wheel,conical vertex error of large wheel and wheelbase error of gear pair on the transmission index such as tooth transmission error,tooth root bending stress and tooth contact stress is discoursed in details.The research in this paper has an important guiding significance in spurring the design method of tooth blank,the machining theory of milling teeth,and the theory of adjusting the contact area of the tooth surface.The research has an influence on improving the performance of meshing and promoting the development of processing and transmission technology.
