Nonwoven fabric is widely used as filtered materials due to their fine fiber diameter,large specific surface area and high porosity.Due to their processability and excellent biocompatibility,polybutylene terephthalate?PBT?nonwoven fibric are used in the pharmaceutical,medical,food and pharmaceutical industries.PBT nonwoven fabrics are used in a wide range of applications such as drinking water purification and biological filtration.However,the hydrophobic nature of the PBT nonwoven surface reduces the efficiency of filtration.In order to improve the hydrophilic properties of PBT nonwoven fabrics,PBT was firstly modified with polyvinyl alcohol?PVA?by coating method.The surface hydrophilic modification of nonwoven fabric to produce PVA modified nonwoven fabric.The plasma is then pre-treated to increase the bond fastness between the coating and the nonwoven fabric to produce the plasma.Pre-treated PVA modified non-woven fabric.Finally,chitosan quaternary ammonium salt?HACC?and nano-alumina??-Al2O3?were added to the casting film solution to increase the antimicrobial properties of the modified nonwoven fabric,and HACC/?-Al2O3/PVA modified nonwoven fabric was produced.This study used contact angle test,thickness and weight gain rate test,water flux test,and antimicrobial test to characterize the performance of modified nonwoven fabrics.And with the help of ATR-FTIR and SEM texts on the surface of modified nonwoven fabric,chemical and microstructures are characterized and analyzed.The content of the experiment and the conclusions are as follows.First prepared PVA modified non-woven fabric.PVA concentration,glutaraldehyde?GA?concentration,catalyst concentration,curing treatment concentration and time,and heat treatment temperature and time were investigated.The variation of the thickness,weight gain and contact angle of the modified nonwoven fabric.The results show the contact angle of the PVA-modified nonwoven was reduced from 121±2°to 0°,and the FTIR and SEM tests also showed that the modification The PVA modification improved the hydrophilicity of PBT nonwoven fabric.Then prepared the plasma pretreatment PVA modified non-woven fabric.The effects of PVA concentration,plasma treatment time,power,gas type and flux on the thickness and weight gain of PVA-modified nonwoven fabric were investigated.Rate,contact angle and water flux effects.The results show that the PVA modified nonwoven fabric can still maintain stable hydrophilicity after washing.FTIR and SEM tests show that,without changing the original chemical structure of the PBT nonwoven fabric,plasma pretreatment can strengthen the bonding fastness between the nonwoven fabric and the coating.Finally prepared HACC/?-Al2O3/PVA modified non-woven fabric.Investigation of the effect of HACC concentration and?-Al2O3 concentration on the thickness of HACC/?-Al2O3/PVA modified nonwoven fabric The influence of the antimicrobial properties on the weight gain,contact angle and antimicrobial performance.The antibacterial aging of the non-woven fabric after modification can reach 48h.In the antimicrobial test,the bacteriostatic rate of HACC/?-Al2O3/PVA modified nonwoven fabric was 100%.FTIR and SEM tests showed that HACC and?-Al2O3 particles were present on the surface of the modified nonwoven fabric.PVA-modified nonwoven fabrics with HACC and?-Al2O3 have antibacterial properties while maintaining hydrophilicity.In summary,this subject combined various technologies to prepare PVA modified nonwoven fabrics.It improved the hydrophilic properties of PBT nonwoven fabrics and gave them certain antibacterial properties.In addition,it enhanced the bond between the coating and nonwoven fabric,which makes PBT non-woven fabric a wider range of filter materials.
