With the development of China's iron and steel industry,the demand for iron ore powder is increasing.Due to the rising price of international iron ore powder and the different grades and characteristics of foreign iron ore powder,the quality of domestic sinter is uneven.The production cost of iron and steel is increasing constantly.It is an important task for major steel plants to improve the metallurgical properties of sinter and reduce production cost by optimizing the reasonable ore mix.In this paper,in order to guide a steel plant to optimize the iron ore powder matching,based on the basic characteristics of two kinds of iron ore powder,in order to improve the sinter performance and reduce the production cost of the sintering system,two kinds of single ore powder and mixed ore powder were analyzed and studied.First,the assimilation characteristics,liquid phase flow characteristics,self strength of binding phase and the formation characteristics of calcium ferrite of Brazilian and Yangdi ore powder are studied respectively.The results show that the basic characteristics of iron ore powder are closely related to ore type and chemical composition.Among them,the bonding phase of Brazilian mineral powder has a high strength of 1435 N,and the formation characteristic of calcium ferrite is 20.68%.The lowest assimilation temperature is 1180 ?,and the liquid flow index is 8.00.Then,according to the analysis of the basic characteristics of the two kinds of single ore powder,the basic sintering characteristics of the two kinds of ore powder are quite different,so they can be mixed to achieve the best comprehensive performance.According to the basic characteristics of different proportion of mixed mineral powder and its cost,the optimal ore blending scheme is obtained.That is to say,when the ratio of Brazilian card ore powder to Yangdi ore powder is 3:7,the comprehensive performance is the best,the lowest assimilation temperature is 1205?,the liquid phase fluidity is 5.5,the strength of the binding phase is 1330 N,and the amount of calcium ferrite is 30.4%.Based on the experimental research on the basic sintering characteristics of Brazilian card ore powder,Yangdi ore powder and their mixed ore powder,the theoretical basis is provided for guiding the optimization of sintering production and improving the quality of sinter.
