In recent years,with the rapid development of China's iron and steel industry,domestic iron and steel plants are in urgent need of a large number of imported iron ore,while the grade and characteristics of foreign iron ore are different,resulting in the uneven quality of domestic sinter.Therefore,it has become an important task for ironmaking workers and scientific researchers to optimize the ore mix,improve the metallurgical properties of sinter and reduce the cost of smelting raw materials.In order to guide the iron ore optimization and reasonable collocation in an iron and steel enterprise,based on the basic sintering characteristics of iron ore powder,aiming at improving the sinter performance and reducing the cost of raw materials for sintering production,the basic sintering characteristics of Australian concentrate powder,Yangdi ore powder and mixed ore powder commonly used in a steel plant were analyzed and studied by using the micro sintering method.First of all,five basic sintering characteristics,namely assimilation characteristics,liquid phase flow characteristics,cohesive phase strength characteristics,calcium ferrite generation characteristics and intergranular characteristics,were studied.The results show that the basic sintering characteristics of Australian concentrate and Yangdi ore are quite different.Compared with Australian concentrate,Yangdi ore powder has the characteristics of low assimilation temperature,good liquid phase fluidity,poor self strength of binder phase,poor consolidation strength of continuous crystal and weak ability of calcium ferrite generation.Secondly,on the basis of mastering the basic sintering characteristics of Australian concentrate and Yangdi ore powder,in order to improve the characteristics of the poor bonding phase,the poor intergranular consolidation ability and the weak calcium ferrite generation ability of Yangdi ore powder,this paper mixed the Australian concentrate and Yangdi ore powder in the ratio of 2:8,3:7 And 4:6 respectively,and comprehensivelyconsidered the basic characteristics and cost of the three proportions of mixed ore powder The optimal ore distribution scheme.The results show that the temperature of assimilation is higher,the fluidity of liquid phase is lower,the strength of binding phase is higher,and the ability of producing calcium ferrite is stronger.Under the premise of considering the cost,the optimal ratio of Australian concentrate powder and Yangdi ore powder is 2:8.Its assimilation temperature is 1190 ?,liquid phase fluidity index is 3.00,intergranular strength is 1.132kn/sample,calcium ferrite production is 22.49%,and cohesive phase strength is 0.859kn/sample,slightly higher than Yangdi mineral powder,with the lowest price of 537.91 yuan / ton.Finally,the results of calculating the liquid-phase fluidity of mineral powder with factsage 7.1 thermodynamic software are compared with the results of the experiment.The results are all Yangdi ore powder > 2:8 > 3:7 > 4:6 > Australian concentrate powder.
