The application of soil is very wide,especially in the construction of national army and the development of national economy.In addition,rare earth plays an important role in cultivating a number of sunrise and sunset industries.Baotou Bayan Obo mine has an annual mining capacity of over 12 million tons to meet the national production demand.Among them,rare earth is mined together with iron ore,and the annual output has reached 700000 tons.In the process of beneficiation,a large number of iron minerals are selected,most of the rare earth minerals enter the tailings dam,about 80%of the rare earth is not fully utilized.The complex and changeable mineral composition of Bayan Obo and the problems existing in the existing which contains a lot of impurities and serious industrial pollution in the smelting process.This article mainly optimizes the rare earth flotation process.Based on process mineralogy,flotation experiments were conducted on actual rare earth minerals to obtain higher quality rare earth concentrates.The main research contents and conclusions of this article are as follows:On the ore sample are iron,rare earth,silicon,calcium,etc.The content of rare earth minerals in tailings are mainly bastnaesite and monazite,which are 6.63%and3.87%respectively.The proportion of bastnaesite and monazite in the minerals is close to 2:1,indicating that the proportion of bastnaesite is relatively high,which is of great significance for the scientific development of the extraction process of rare earth concentrate.In the sieve analysis test,the yield of-500 mesh is 53.64%,and the distribution rate is 69.17%.Therefore,the test ore sample is relatively fine,mainly distributed in-500 mesh.In this paper,through the optimization of the experiment on the roughing conditions of the iron tailings of Bayan Obo iron separation,the optimal roughing experimental conditions and agent dosage are determined:the flotation temperature of the iron tailings was 60,the flotation concentration was 40%,the inhibitor Sodium Silicate dosage was 1.75kg/t,the collector P8-0 dosage was 0.9kg/t,the 2~#oil dosage was 0.168kg/t,and the flotation time was 5min.Under the optimal conditions,the concentrate grade of rare earth was about 27.6%,and the recovery rate was about 88.3%.Through the process of open circuit experiment one roughing and two refining,the concentrate grade of rare earth was 53.32%,and the recovery rate was 68.55%.The qualified rare earth concentrate with a grade of 50.48%,a recovery of 77.07%and a tailings with a grade of 3.48%and a recovery of 22.93%were finally obtained by closed-circuit test.The high-quality rare earth concentrate was obtained by further flotation with a grade of about 50%.It was determined that the optimal experimental conditions and dosage of agent were 2.0kg/t of inhibitor Sodium Silicate,1.1kg/t of collector p8-0 and 112g/t of foaming agent 2.After one roughing test,the re concentrate grade(REO)was 60.44%and the REO is 90.47%.At the same time,it was of great practical significance to develop Bayan Obo mineral resources scientifically,realize efficient mining,reasonable development and scientific beneficiation,reduce production costs,and transform resource advantages into economic advantages by seeking a set of suitable beneficiation process.At the same time,the improvement of grade and recovery rate will provide high quality raw materials for future smelting.It can not only reduce the consumption of chemical reagents in smelting process,greatly reduce smelting cost,but also reduce the production of three wastes,completely solve environmental pollution and other problems,and realize green production.
