In the 1990s,due to the massive exploitation and export of oil in the Middle East,and the rapid economic growth of developed countries in the world,the import demand for petrochemical products increased,which greatly promoted the development of the petrochemical shipbuilding industry and transportation industry.It was during this special period that the development of oil chemical tankers was very rapid.Due to the constant innovation and development of shipbuilding industry on idea and technical,the design and manufacture of petrochemical vessels are moving toward large-scale and ultra-large-scale,from several thousand tons to hundreds of thousands of tons,or even several hundreds of thousands of tons.With the enlargement of ships,a non-negligible part of ship safety is the mooring of ships,and the most critical part of mooring is the provision of mooring ropes arrangement and specific mooring types.On the one hand,this article collects information on the mooring ropes arrangement of oil chemical tanker through data statistics,including relevant data such as the number,material,diameter,breaking force of the ropes,safety load,common mooring types,and the parameters of ship types.By comparing the actual rope arrangement conditions of each ship with the specification standards obtained from the calculation of the equipment number,the inapplicability of the specification standards of "Code for Classification of Steel Sea Ships"(Hereinafter referred to as "Code")and the current status of mooring safety is analyzed.On the other hand,through the method of mathematical statistical analysis,the corresponding relationship between the rope arrangement of the oil chemical tanker and the scale of the ship is obtained.From the horizontal and vertical perspectives,the rope arrangement plan of the oil chemical tanker and the specification standards of "Code" are analyzed the different requirements of the arrangement.According to the possible simultaneous wind current and the actual mooring type and the number of ropes when mooring the oil chemical tanker,the mooring force calculation is based on the "Port Engineering Load Code"(JTS-144-2010),and the comparative analysis of the mooring force found that the rope arrangement of the oil chemical tanker in actual production operations has a certain gap with the current "code",and the standards specified in the:"code" are lower than the actual arrangement requirements,which brings danger to safety mooring.The research of mooring rope arrangement in this article can provide practical basis and guidance for the improvement and revision of the specific standards of the "Code".
