Tailings dam is an important part of tailings pond,which is mainly used to block the tailings discharged from metal mines and non-metal mines after beneficiation.Due to the large amount of tailings,there are some useful or harmful components which can not be treated temporarily.If the leakage occurs,it will cause great loss to the downstream.This paper takes Fankou tailings dam as the research object,the main contents are as follows1.The hydrogeological conditions of tailing dam area are studied by consulting relevant data and field investigation.The specific geological model is established to prepare for the later numerical calculation2.The stability of each tailings dam is calculated by numerical simulation software,and the seepage and anti sliding stability coefficient under normal conditions,flood conditions and special engineering conditions are simulated,and its stability is analyzed.3.Through the dam break simulation test,the dam break law and influencing factors are summarized.The mathematical model of dam break is established and compared with the field test to determine the effectiveness of the model.The dam break process of huangzitang 2 tailings dam under the limit state was simulated by using numerical simulation software.The parameters of dam break influence range and characteristic points were obtained,and reasonable suggestions were put forward.
