The Study Of Architecture And Environment Design Of The Witchcraft Museum In Meishan Cultural Park Of China

Meishan culture consists of hunting,martial arts and witchcraft culture.Witchcraft culture,as an indispensable component of Meishan culture,deserves people’s attention,understanding and promotion.The Design Project of Meishan Culture Park is a state-level construction project led by Professor FeihuChen.The project is based in Xian’xi County,Anhua Town,Yiyang City,Hunan Province.Meishan Witchcraft Museum is defined as a building group aiming at exhibiting and broadcasting local witchcraft activities and culture.Its building style is not identical with Meishan Culture Park.The primitive architectural modeling and building materials reflect the in-depth effects from witchcraft culture,and nicely matches its mysticism and sense of religion.Combined with the historical records,the research and investigation results in Meishan area,as well as the characteristics of Meishan Culture Park,the author explores the theories and methodologies of exhibition space designs that suitable for Meishan area.This thesis is divided into five chapters.The 1^st chapter broadly introduces the present situation of Meishan witchcraft culture,the research background and the emphasis and methodology of the study.The 2^nd chapter does insightful explanation and exploration on Meishan witchcraft culture,reveals the religious belief,spirit worship and fo lk customs of Meishan residents,makes systematic comparison and analysis on the interactions and mutual effects among Buddhism,Taoism and witchcraft culture,and indicates the important influences on Meishan residents’daily life from witchcraft culture under the particular local natural and cultural environment.Chapter 3 stresses on the architectural symbols,styles and colors of buildings in Meishan area.Chapter 4 introduces the general situations,design requirements and considerations of Meishan Culture Park and Witchcraft Museum,carries out comparison and analysis on the model selection of witchcraft building and the overall environment design,then determines the best design scheme.The 5^th chapter indicates the cultural and artistic conception of each section in Witchcraft Museum.The Conclusion summarizes the full text,and it also discusses the innovation point of the the essay and research prospect of witchcraft culture.
