| In 1950s',the social modality had gradually transited and transformed from the pre-World War II industrial society to the postwar post-industrial society in the Western countries.Driving by the urban motorizing development under this circumstance,urbanizing progression spread to the suburbs on a large scale and caused serious negative effects,such as land resource abusing and wasting,traffic congesting and ecological environment pollution deteriorating,all of which leaded to urban unsustainable development.In consideration with these urban problems caused by the disordered urban sprawling and for the urban sustainable developing,the theory of compact city generated in these developed countries in Europe and American.This theory was partly affected by the inspiration of the high-density developmental pattern of some ancient cities in Europe,aiming to realize the intensive utilizing and optimize the allocating of urban land resource through high-density and high-efficiency urban developmental pattern.As an intensive and efficient urban developmental strategy,the theory of compact city has profound effects on all levels of city,including regional urban cluster,city,and urban block,etc.As urban block is an important substance unit of the city,constructing compact developmental pattern of urban block would contribute to realizing the sustainable development of the whole city.Currently,our country is being in the developmental stage of fast urbanizing.All the country is conducting large-scale urban development.In our densely-populated country,most of cities faced with conspicuous contradiction between the limiting supply of land resources and the large demand of development space.However,this developmental pattern,with constructing over-wide roads and oversized blocks,is pervading in large-and medium-sized cities in China,even in most of small cities.Ignoring the efficient utilization of all kinds of urban resources,this pattern actually represents a resource-wasting developmental pattern of urban block.Based on the introspection of this developmental situation mentioned above,we studied the relative experience of the compact city theory with the example of Ji-nan city,aiming to explore a sustainable developmental pattern of urban block,to provide a useful way for building a harmony block,which meet to the actual needs of urban construction,and to improve some irrational issues in our urban construction at present.Focusing on studying the developmental pattern of compact urban block,we firstly introduced the research backgrounds,contents,and methods,de fined relative concepts,straightened out the entire thesis,and ascertained the main framework of our study;In part two,we concluded and summarized the progress and the practice experience of compact city development,domestically and abroad,for compre hending the progress of relative research;In part three,we analyzed the main issues existing in the urban blocks in Ji-nan,and discussed the opportunities and challenges in the progress of realizing the compact development of urban blocks in Jinan;In p art four,based on the summary of the development evolution and the variety in urban block pattern of Ji-nan,we analyzed and studied these samples which were selected from the classical urban block in Ji-nan by the method of field research,attempting to provide more potent supports for constructing pattern compact of urban block;In part five---the kernel part of this thesis,on the account of the four parts mentioned above,we summarized the basic principles in constructing compact urban block,and attempted to present the corresponding pattern strategy according to the four aspects,including the scale and dimension of compact urban block,high-density construction strategy,mixed using of function,and the three-dimensional open space of city.At last,we proposed the conceive of the pattern of compact urban block,which adapted to the situation of Ji-nan,expecting to guide and promote the city sound construction in most city of our country,including Jinan. |
