In recent years,with the flourishing development of the building trades,a large number of steel and cement are used to build the houses.The production of the traditional building materials consume a large amount of energy and cause serious pollution,which is very harmful to our country's ecological environment and the arable land.With the development of the society and the enhancement of people's environmental protection consciousness,people began to focus on green building materials.Our country is agricultural country in the world.The straw resources are very abundant,but the utilization rate of straw is very low.The Straw is a kind of green and environmental protection material.People have begun to make the straw bales to build houses,but the performance of the straw bale and the straw bale wall lack a lot of research.There is no corresponding norms and standards,which seriously hindered the straw bale in the promotion and development of construction industry.In view of the above situation,the bearing capacity performance of the straw bale wall strengthened by the fiber glass lattice cloth is studied in this paper.The straw bale wall is simulated and analyzed by the finite element software AN SYS.The bearing capacity of engineering empirical formula of the straw bale wall under the vertical load is proposed finally.The main contents are as follows:(1)The straw bale,cement mortar and fiber glass lattice cloth are the basic ingredients in the straw bale wall.Their physical properties and mechanical properties were studied in this paper,and their indicators which just like their strength have been tested.This provides the full basis to evaluate the performance of straw bale wall bearing capacity reasonably and reasonable parameters to simulate the straw bale wall strengthened by fiber glass lattice cloth.(2)A piece of pure straw bale wall and the straw bale wall strengthened by the fiber glass lattice cloth were studied in this paper,then their mechanical characteristics,vertical deformation,lateral deformation,bearing capacity,failure process and failure pattern under vertical load are compared,the experimental results show that fiber glass lattice cloth can perfect the mechanical performance of straw bale wall and improve the cracking load.The bearing capacity of the straw bale wall strengthened by the fiber glass lattice cloth can meet the requirements of single bearing walls and multi-layer filling wall.(3)Through the simulation to the pure straw bale wall and the straw bale wall strengthened by the fiber glass lattice cloth's model with the finite element analysis software ANSYS14.5' respectively,the results of finite element analysis is compared to the test result,which found that their results are very close.This analyze that the glass fiber reinforce plastic have enhancement effect on the bearing capacity of straw bale wall theoretically.(4)The mechanical mechanism of the straw bale wall was analyzed on the basis of experimental study and finite element analysis.This concluded the main factors which can influence the bearing capacity of the straw bale wall.The different factors contribute to the bearing capacity of the straw bale wall were analyzed by the finite element software.The empirical formula of the bearing capacity of the straw bale wall under the vertical load is proposed,which can provide certain reference basis for the engineering application of the straw bale wall henceforward.
